There's another one in the books.....

    ------------------
Francis out top, 9 seconds on the clock, he gives a no look pass to Cuttino Mobley, 4 seconds left, Mobley passes to an open Langhi in the corner with 1 second left! Langhi at the buzzer.......YES!!! How Sweet It Is!!

Unbelievable. Rudy must be proud. His favourite son has done it yet again.

if Cat ever plans on being the next coming of MJ he really needs to learn how to stop with these damn bone-headed plays.

    Damn tho...what a great comeback !! [IMG]

You know, I was about to post this topic. What the hell was Mobley doing. Francis needed the ball in that situation, he made all the key 3s down the stretch to get the Rockets back in the game, and Mobley's sorry shooting ass throws up that wild shot. It just sucks.

It boggles the mind what must be going through Cuttino's head in that situation. I mean is he thinking I have 2 jazz defenders around me why dont I hide behind my big man and throw up this BS shot? Steve was wide open and anybody could tell he was feeling it. It pisses me off that Steve finally stepped up as a leader in this game and led us back and that he didnt get a chance to take the final shot. Cuttino needs to step down in that situation and realize who's feeling it and give up the god damn ball. And dont tell me he didnt see Steve because Steve was yelling for the ball all the way up the court. I wont even mention the fact we still had a timeout.....

Funny that Steve drilled a 3 in the next posession to shrink the final margin. Looks like he was, oh, I don't know, FEELING IT!

Ooops, I meant to make this a topic. Anyway Cat's shot selection leaves little to be desired. . .

Nice wide open miss Shandon with 45 sec left.

If Shandon makes that wide open 3, Clutch is not complaining about Cuttino's desparation shot.

    Why b****!

I guess I sound like a Cat lover. But why blame the very last important shot when Shandon misses a very wide open 3 right before it.

Why Clutch?! Do you look to blame the last shooter all the time, or what?

Three very key words regarding Anderson's miss you can't apply to Cuttino's:

    <font size="5" face="arial">"VERY WIDE OPEN"</font>

    Why heypartner, why?

Yea but we wouldnt have been in the game without Shandon and I can live with Shandon missing that shot because it was a GOOD shot.

I love mobes myself! Hes allowed to have tons of bad games in my opinion, but it was them damn first quarter isos that made me cringe. Whether they are succesful are not is beside the point, the point is that by going to them so early a flow are rhythm is never allowed to develop by Francis are any of the other Rockets while these premature isos are displayed.

You guys are focusing on all the wrong things, the Rockets lost this game because our guards can not play defense on anybody.

The 3rd quarter and early in the 4th it was a layup drill for the Jazz. My GOD, it was ugly.

The difference in this game is that our defense is bad, and our primary players do not pass the ball to the open man in crucial situations. Trust your teamates !!!

AND MO !! Your defense has GOT to improve, how can you let Donyell Marshall constantly go backdoor...over and over...for layup after layup....

Until this team makes a committment on the defensive end, it will be mediocre at best.

DaDakota-I missed the first half, but from what I saw, Bullard was the one on Marshall, not Mo (who was taking Malone or the police officer).

    Shandon is underrated.

Here's flame bait, but I thin Cat is more concerned with his stats then the team winning. I think he has to have the spotlight.
I know he and Steve are good friends, but he needs to know this is Steve's team. We win and lose with Steve. Against Detroit, didn't Cat jack up a 3 with 20 seconds left and the game in hand ? Most players run out the clock. Heck he's taken more shots then Steve this year, and he's played 5 fewer minutes per game.

    NikeStrad,

Yes you are correct at the end, but that was actually GREAT defense that got us back in the game, and Kudos for Mo for doing it.

He just has trouble....as does the WHOLE team with helping on the weakside.

DaDakota, Mooch played really bad defense today, but Steve actually played pretty well against Stockton and Vaughn, especially at the end of the game. Vaughn scored most of his points against Mooch and using his Jazz tactics to get the fouls. Stockton had a bad game as well despite his decent numbers.Dadakota, watch the game again, its not our guards faults the Jazz guards got to the hole, our big men play matador on those pick and rolls and never stopped them from turning the corner.
