Palmer trade was just the icing on the cake.

when a 4-12 roster is cap-strapped, you know you're ****ed for a while.

All the guys Al Davis would have tried to lock up Reggie has simply let walk.

Personally I'd be fine if they cut Palmer, let Pryor fail miserably (tank) and take Clowney or Johnny Football next year.

Discuss the player who lost millions of dollars because his agent faxed something a few minutes late.

If the NBA had this rule Clyde Drexler would have been working at 7-11. True madness.

Fitting that the Pats would abstain from voting on the tuck rule.

They can still run with their head down. They just can't lower their head to spear a potential tackler. Presumably for the same reason that a potential tackler can't lower their head to spear the running back.

Lots of people seem to misunderstand what is being banned. The NFL did an analysis on a full weekend of games, and what is being banned happened a total of 5 times between all 16 games.

Rich McKay says NFL studied Week 10 and Week 16 from 2012; there would have been 11 flags under the new helmet rule during those two weeks.

5.5 calls in one week will make a mockery of the game?

I think eventually teams will run the ball at like a 10% rate and every game will look like an Arena league score with Texas Tech / Baylor defense on display.

For comparison, that's 11 flags out of about 1600-1800 running plays that would have been run in all those games combined. So that's less than 1% of running plays that have this issue.
