That's just not as impressive as you seem to think it is. The Texans won 9 games, the Broncos won 12 starting Brock Osweiler for nearly half the season.

As to the playoff win, they lucked out and faced an inferior version of their team with a weaker QB. It's like hyping up the Texans playoff win with TJ Yates as evidence that Yates is awesome.

That said, I'm not saying that Wilson isn't a very good game manager becuase he absolutely is that, it's just that he's not a top tier QB despite some people thinking that.

The balance of this offense isn't there. 9 touches for 46 yards from running backs all game.

    4600 yards from scrimmage.

24 touchdowns, 1 int in the last 7 games including a thrashing of Az in week 17. What a game manager.

This game is winnable if Seattle D doesn't lay an egg in the first half.

They should have kicked a field goal in the 1st half.

Wilson would go top 5 if there was a QB draft. Guys that you would start a franchise with for the short and long term. Game managers don't go top 5. They also don't throw for 366 yards. He had a poor first half but so did the entire team. 9 carries from running backs. Nuff said

    I consider the top 3 or 4 QB's "elite"

I consider the top 6-8 to be "top tier"

I consider guys that are 8-13 to be "second tier"

I consider guys that are 14-19 to be "third tier"

I consider 20 and on to be "garbage"

Not a good sign when you give up 24 unanswered points in the 2nd half at home. I like the Cardinals to advance to SB.

Exactly. I agree with you, to win with a Russell Wilson type QB against a really good defense you need the running game to work. If it can't, you're doomed.

But the Cardinals have Carson "Choking Dog" Palmer at QB.

I give the edge to the Panthers because I expect the Cards to turn the ball over.

But the Cardinals also have Larry "stiff-arm your entire defense for 75 yards" Fitzgerald.

What a bunch of BS. You've had this idea in your head for a while and it held true a long time ago.

If you a need QB to take over a game when nothing is going well, Wilson is exactly the type of QB that you need. Crappy offensive line? He's mobile, durable and can improvise with the best of them while being able to throw on the run. He's smart and doesn't take big hits. He's accurate. He put up very good numbers with Rawls and whoever else. Beast mode checked out a long time ago.

I would love to have Wilson as my QB twice on Sundays, guy got the "it"factor. Gamer , respect his to desire to win. But I was rooting for Carolina.
