I think the obvious is going to happen this offseason. They say if you trade 1 superstar you might as well trade both. These trades help ballance out the power ballance between the West & East. Yao and Jackson will be traded to Milwaukee for Redd and Williams. Why? After the olympics Yao/Yi dont sound that bad and its been known that Milwakee is making major changes this offseason. T-Mac goes to the place that if he wanted to before he even came to Houston he would have went. Bird and Walsh have always been pretty high on T-Mac and they are due for some serious changes as well. T-Mac for Dunleavy and Murphy coming to Houston. T-Mac teams with Jermaine O'Neal and Granger Then to top off the both trades above. Once expiring contracts come off the books in Miami will open up the space needed to move Battier/Head/Alston for Wade because who knows what will happen with them but those 3 players + Marion and a Rose or Beasley + Van Gundy or a Riley dont sound to bad either. All teams cut cost and Adelman creates the team he invisioned all along and its kinda built like Utah with a hole lot of fire power.
I'm convinced the Rockets would never trade Yao. Lose him to free agency? Maybe... But they will never deal him off.
Fire power? I'm all for trade ideas, but this is the best you could come up with? Dunleavy, Murphy? Not saying they are bad players, but I don't think anyone wants to replace two team leaders with a bunch of above average role players.
Weed didn't do this. This boy has been sniffing paint thinner since the 70's. Either that or he is a crack baby!
Its not about what your getting its about where someone would want to go and yes fire power. T-Mac's value is not as high as you seem to think and if he was to go it would be for 2 young players who produce at positions of needs. About Yao and never deal him off? How many games has he played the last 4 years? You get this feeling if he was to go he would goto Milwaukee only because of Yi. And the value your getting back in return is equal when it comes to age and production and needs. Murphy/Scola Scola/Landry/Hayes Dunleavy/Novak/Harris Redd/Wade/Francis Wade/Williams/Brooks I will say it but your window for a championship just opened even farther. And you get a player back who is probably better than the player just traded to Indiana. The team gets younger? You have a team now even better than Utah. Instead of looking like a D-League team before now it looks like a USA team format. This team would gell and execute. The wings can shoot lights out and still have size. The PG rotation is mixed skill sets that fits in place on what your trying to run to begain with. The front court is good enough to the point Murphy alone can be used as a decoy if needed to. I would not under estimate the leadership of Redd and Wade who both can play on the national team. Who is the leader of the Jazz? they have no leader because Sloan is there leader.
How do you figure? You have 3 maybe 4 guys who all would put up around 20ppg and one being a 6th man. Scola game would go up to add to it. and Murphy on 1 side of the court is a mis match problem. All that would need to be done is finding players who play great post defense which is by far easier to do than finding what the current team lacks. You have Brooks/Landry gaining more upside you would think and ball movement and transition offense picks up dramatically.
people keep forgetting that it took dream some years to win a championship, i wonder if people back then were calling for him to be traded
