I got to record some stuff for radio ads on the radio for the "Be Part Of Something Big" thing the Rockets are doing this year. I was trying to see if there was anything on here about it, but search kept sending nothing found.

Am I looking in the wrong place?

I'm sorry, sir, but according to the clutchcity.net BBS code of conduct, all new members must enter the game action forum and start a thread about one of the following:

    a) the possibility of trading Cato, Moochie, and Taylor to the Lakers for Kobe Bryant

    b) a five team trade involving seventeen players in which the Rockets end up acquiring Samuel Dalembert, Jermaine Jackson, and a new backboard

    c) How worthless Kenny Thomas is

    d) How much our uniforms suck

Thank you for your cooperation. Failure to comply with this rule will result in disciplinary action, up to and including forcing you to read every one of Stevie Francis's posts...

I try my best, though it's usually not good enough. :)

I haven't heard any radio ads. Are they already on the air? If not, when when they be popping up? What stations?

I think they'll only be on during games on the AM broadcasts.

They said when they were taping me that they did the same kind of thing for the Comets and it went well so they decided to do it for the Rockets.

I signed up for it on rockets.com

I got to say that I would go "Celtic Pride" on the Lakers and kidnap Shaq to secure a Rockets victory. Then I had to say the "Be Part Of Something Big" catch line about 20x. I kept saying "Be A Part Of Something Big" and we had to redo. No A's allowed.

I can't remember his name, but the guy that always is in the locker room after games getting quotes is the guy who recored me.

They gave me free Comets swag and kicked me out the door. I just wondered if anyone else got to do it.

I'm suprised they had you say that Celtic Pride line, since nobody actually watched that movie and probably won't know what the heck you're talking about.

Definitely one of the worst sports movies of all time, for the simple fact that the UTAH JAZZ win the NBA title...

    It was on rockets.com

I got a e-blastoff for the first time in a long time and I went to the site. they had a submit your biggest rockets moment. I typed some smart-ass comment about kidnapping Shaq and they called me in. I didn't even remember what I wrote in. I did it about a month ago at the Greenway offices. They have the trophies there, man the first Rockets one looks like hell! All dented and scuffed.

Dumb luck to get to do it, but I think it's pretty cool too.

One of those uncoordinated white boys we had on that team dropped it...Wasn't it Richard Petruska? It might have been Bullard...

If it is Petruska...what the hell was he doing with the thing anyways?
