What are your 2004 resolutions? Mine are: - Be a happier person by letting things roll off my shoulder - Find an activity outside of watching sports/drinking/playing video games to get me out of the house - Obtain my GCIH (Security cert) - Stop being so picky about women, and open myself up to relationships
i disagree with that one... don't lower your standards too much man, you might end up with a relationship that's no good. save money... i guess that's mine too.
1. Quit being such a 'fraidy cat procrastinator and get my next movie made. It's already been over two years since I've completed a feature. 2. Be less shy in general.
Well some of the factors that I use against women are: - Cankles - Too much makeup or perfume - Bad dresser I might let up on the cankles issue, they can't help it. But trust me, I won't be hooking up with trailer trash.
-be in basketball playing shape by March -don't spend nearly as much money -much more devotion to my job -read at least one book a week -go to church -be a better boyfriend -write more (I used to like to do this, but stopped for some reason)
I hate resolutions for myself because they never work. Let's just say I made a few decisions. 1. My look needs updating. I'm chopping off a bunch of hair today (no businessman special or skinhead look or anything) and I'm buying different clothes. I've basically looked the same for 15 years. As Bill Murray said in Groundhog's Day, "Anything different is good." 2. I will have my taxes done in January. EVERY FREAKIN' YEAR I swear I'm going to get them done early and EVERY FREAKIN' YEAR I'm not done early. And it isn't like I do them myself. I have a damn accountant! This year, he gets them very soon. 3. I'm going to get the joy of playing bass guitar back. I haven't SERIOUSLY spent time practicing for quite a few years. Many of those years were spent actually playing so I didn't have time to sit down and work on my chops. This year, the 20th anniversary of my start as a bassist, I get back to my roots and improve my chops. 4. I'm taking my wife on a vacation. I don't when, where or how yet, but we have not had a real vacation in a looooooong time. We both need it and I want to spend some time with her away from work and friends and family. And, yes, before you ask, the BBS too.
1. Pay off out standing debt 2. Get financially ready for my kids to go to college 3. Keep working out like I started at the end of '03. 4. Learn a new language. 5. Read more. 6. Become a senior member
Sounds like a Queer Eye for the Straight Guy candidate. Doesn't Houston have a knockoff of this show?
1. Approach more women without worrying about rejection. More confidence. I want to have a serious girlfriend by the end of the year. This is a big one. 2. Turn my band into my primary source of income instead of my secondary source of income. We're so close but not quite there yet. Looking for a big 2004. 3. Buy my first house this summer. No more paying rent. 4. Start saving for retirement. I've been putting this off all year. 5. Drink less if at all. I started this in September and I'm still going strong. 6. Workout more while eating a healthier diet. I also started this one in September but slacked off in December.
1) Exercise regularly. I keep telling myself that I'm going to buy a stationary bike and ride it while I watch the Rockets. Even if I don't do that, I will try to exercise at least 3 days a week. 2) Organize my time better. I'm returning to school, and I do not want to procrastinate like I did previously. I will set up "study times" and adhere to them. 3) Spend less money. Especially at bars. 4) Record some songs that I've tinkered with for years. Once they're on a CD, then I can move on and write other stuff. 5) Play at Rudyards with my band. I've played every other club but this place always sounds the best. 6) Be a more open and friendly person.
