Ok guys and gals, its finally time to upgrade my 15 year old 27” tube JVC and get with the times. I know I want HDTV and have $ 750 – 800 to spend. What is the best deal out there, what technology can I afford. p.s. Don’t need anything to big. Thanks, Jack btw - I live in spring TX
Syntax Olevia 532H (32 inch) is a good set for around $800. I have the Olevia 537H, but it cost around $1100. Both come with built-in HD tuner. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16889022028 http://www.olevia.com/jsp/products/detail.jsp?pid=532h
Hey man, you take care three kids, wife ( stay at home type ) house and a couple of cars. See how much you have left for a TV
got a sams card? here's 32" LCD for $699 http://www.samsclub.com/shopping/navigate.do?dest=5&item=333226&pCatg=6148
Yep, what brand ? model ? Also, thinking about a 37" now. Extra 5" wouldnt hurt, least thats what the wife tells me.
I think my Dad got his 42" Samsung DLP at Sams or Costco for a very decent price. Under $1000 I think.
would you drive to san marcos? there's a Sony Outlet store. I know you can get a CRT 34in HDTV for $700. its heavy and bulky, but its HD and its good. http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INT...=?page=static/sony_outlet/special_offers.isml
I'm going to be getting a new TV in the near future...I may get a projection as my Living Room is built weird and it looks better than a TV on a table...Plus it'll be cheaper... Here is what a friend of mine sent me earlier today... "Prices are getting better. Outpost.com has a 32” for $499 and a 37” for $697. I am still waiting for a 42” or bigger for under $1,000. Have seen a 42” plasma for $1197. May have to wait for about a year. Laser TVs will be released that last quarter of next year and from what I am reading they will be better than plasma and LCD at half the cost."
where do you live rrj_gamz? i might be selling my rear projection. i'll give you the Calvin Murphy discount.
Thanks for the info, but don't feeling like driving over there. I wonder why houston dosent have a Sony Outlet store?
the people who won't draft Vince Young or Reggie Bush dont want the Sony Outlet either. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2512356&CatId=1830
I don't think I want a rear projection..... or do I ?????? Dont you have to pretty much be in front of the TV for a good picture ???
You may want to check this out: link I'm not sure about Emprex but it is a 37' and comes with a ATSC tuner so you don't have to buy an HD converter.
dude its 50in!! there should be plenty of viewing angle for this TV! plus its so dirt cheap, and i put in my zip code and there was $0 shipping. dont forget its a DLP, so its pretty light and not that bulky.
brand is VIZIO though.. it sams so they have a pretty liberal return policy if you're not satisfied their 37 inch is $999
Wow...another great deal, it seems. When I'm ready to replace my bedroom tv, I'll have to remember to ask you guys.
