i am not too sure if someone has mentioned this, but what about this possible line up for next year. i would like to get rid of walt, cato, and shandon. and have:

5-free agent or draftpick, collier, carlos
    4-c-webb, carlos, kt
    3-mo taylor, langhi, kt
    2-cat, langhi
    1-wink, moochie, colson

i would like to see a front court of mo and c-webb. shandon can go. for all the "defense" he brings he isn't good enough for the money he wants, and he doesn't even play starters minutes. also, the guy he covers usually get about 30 a nite anyway. allwe need is a center. i think hakeem would do a sir charles and play for the min. in order to play for a competitor. i think winning is more important to him than tha benjamins. we shall see. it will be an interesting off season. but for now, GO ROCKETS!!!! MAKE THE PLAYOFFS PLEEEEAAAASSE!!!

sure, why not. kid is quick enough, thats fo sure. also, wink plays the 2 whenever moochie is in there doesn't he? langhi can be an interesting possibility at the 2 as a third option.

I say we draft an athlete to back Cuttino up. Someone like Sasser or Caron Butler.

We could cause some big matchup problems if we just rearranged our starters.

    PG-Mo
    SG-Cato
    SF-Fancis
    PF-Cuttino
    C-Shandon

Mo is not quick enough to play the three. Athletic SF would drive pat him all the time. He also would have to develop a much better three point shot to play the three.

Three guard lineups are the future of Rocketball.

    Unless Langhi develops quickly.

Last night I was thinking. If we sign Webber? What do we do when it comes time to re-sign Steve. I may be wrong but isn't that time coming soon. Yes Webber would be great, but not if it means no Stevie. Can anybody answer this for me.

Steve's a FA two years down the road I believe, but we will have his bird rights and can sign him to the max no matter what our cap situation is. That is not a concern.

Uh....how would signing Webber turn away Steve? Unless Leslie Alexander won't want to give Francis his max $$ (hah!), Webber makes no impact on Steve, other than adding a ring to his finger.

I personally was hoping to pick up Stanley Roberts and Thomas Hamilton to backup up the guards.

that lineup's not forward heavy enough. We should bring in A. Davis and Jerome Williams to back up Cuttino and Steve Francis.

We need a solid PG backup. Is there a way we can trade for Shawn Kemp as our backup PG?

I mean all he has to do is eat the guy he's guarding. "GET IN MAH BELLAY!!!"

I thought that maybe Steve may start to feel like the team is no longer his, and either Steve or Cat would have to take a smaller roll on the team. Which would most likely be Cat and I don't know how happy Cat would be with that.
