Othella got traded to the knicks of E. Stric and a 2nd rounder ------------------ Lose it? I didn't lose it; it wasn't like oops where did my job go!!! I quit!
full of typoes I know...sorry just tired. ------------------ Lose it? I didn't lose it; it wasn't like oops where did my job go!!! I quit!
It was for Strickland, a 1st rounder and a 2nd rounder. Strange trade.... ------------------ There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."
Actually, I believe the Grizz acquired the Lakers 1st round pick this year (that previously belonged to the Knicks) as well as NY's second rounder. This is probably a good trade for both teams. New York gets a proven inside presence that gives their frontcourt some depth. Inside, with Othella, Thomas, Camby, Johnson and even Longley, they probably have more depth than any other East team - which isn't saying much I know. Vancouver gets a tough, defensive-minded guard who can play both the 1 or 2. They are a bit crowded back there, so Abdul-Rauf or our man Brent may get moved. I'm glad to see that Othella won't have to be with that terrible organization in vancouver anymore. ------------------
Good to see he'll have a chance at the playoffs again. It's going to be interesting seeing him in Knicks gear. ------------------ "Clinton lied. A man might forget where he parks or where he lives, but he never forgets oral sex, no matter how bad it is." -- Barbara Bush
The Grizzlies are just getting started. They made this trade to get the first rounder in the upcoming draft. Now, they'll have to trade that first rounder for a better first rounder in this draft. The reason they have to do this is the trade they made with Detroit a few years ago for Otis Thorpe. Vancouver has to give Detroit a first rounder 18 or better this season or give Detroit their own pick next year unless it's top 5 (if it's top 5 they have to give Detroit their pick unless it's number 1 the next year). So, Vancouver's just getting started. Strickland might come in handy for them, but they know he's gone after the season, it was all about getting a pick this season. ------------------
Correct Azim, it was the Lakers pick..... ------------------ There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."
So, this pick should eventually become our's, right? Because Detroit own us a 1st round pick for Turksan(sp).
It won't become Houston's because Detroit still has a couple of seasons to give Houston any first round pick. They'll take this one and use it because it will be fairly good and get another one for Houston somewhere down the line. ------------------
