yeah... this is good stuff. saw it on tv a few times. reminds me of that vid jeff posted with tom cruise. why don't you like mattress mac? i was at the starbucks on w gray/shep with a friend and mac walked up with this random conversation for a minute while his drink was being made. seemed like a cool guy. he then walked out the door and jumps into this old small beat-up white (iirc) truck. kinda neat. i hear the dude is always in his store and that he thanks people for their business in person at the store. what's not to like about the guy?
Yeah he is always in his store and stuff...but overall he is known to be a prick...he shows good face in front of the right people but god help you if you catch him on a bad day....very rude guy. Heard that from a few people that talked to him business wise.
He was in the store about two weeks ago while I was buying a TV stand. He did not thank me personally for my purchase. I now want a discount or something.
In my case, I was shopping for furnature and visited his store. I noticed he was at the front desk and walked up to meet him and thank him for some of the local stuff he does. The guy shook my hand, but appeared as though he had better things to do. He blew me off. I looked around for a few minutes stewing over it, before I decided to leave. Could I have misread him? Possibly. I know people that have work for the guy and most didn't have nice things to say either. I didn't need his furnature that bad. I found better furniture elsewhere. I did pay more though. If that is not important to others, I don't mind. He's just a w****.
