New computer help please.

    Hello fellow bbs peeps,

    Finally broke down and bought a new computer, I need some tips on the best way to transfer files or whatever else I need to the new one.

    Please show me the way....................... :confused:

    best way? Get a drive, throw your files on there and transfer that junk..

    buy an external hard drive CASE. it'll run you around 20 bux. then put ur old pc hard drive in it and voila your old C: drive is a new external hard drive with your files on it.

    or just buy an external hard drive (make sure it's 7200 rpm and has an eSATA option) that would be the fastest route.

    You don't need to buy anything. If your old hard drive is either uses a SATA or a IDE connection. Just that Hard drive(s) into your motherboard and use it separately instead of retransferring files.

    External drives come in handy for many reasons. If FT doesn't already own one it would be a good investment. You never know when you might need to move some files around if you have multiple computers you use.
