Netflix signs Dreamworks Netflix signed an agreement that is a rare win. They will start streaming Dreamworks TV shows and movies in 2013.
That's nice and all (except the until 2013 part), but this is part of the problem facing streaming. I fully expect to see Studio A stream through Netflix, Studio B stream through Amazon, Studio C stream through Hulu, and Studio D allow streaming through their inefficient own website. It'll be when multiple studios band together to offer their content to multiple companies for a set viewing fee that we'll have true streaming capabilities. I can do without cable for now, but I have to hunt from so many different sources to find the shows I want to watch. It would be so sweet in the future to power on my PS3 (or TV with internet capabilities) and choose to buy season passes, individual episodes, channel passes, movies, and sport passes a la carte style. My kids will make fun of me a few decades from now when I talk about how it was a pain to find content online back in the day.
something wrong with starting in 2012 besides the end of the world? should i come back in 2013 when i no longer give a flying f__k or am dead from doomsday?
The 2013 part sucks.. If come Feburary when Netflix loses Starz and they dont add any new blockbuster hits/studios, I'm definitely canceling my streaming subscription.
