I had discs for a TV series shipped out of order once, but it was because it was a pretty rare TV series and the disc it skipped was lost or damaged or something. There were none available anywhere, so it just went to the next DVD. But I haven't noticed that on any of the more mainstream TV shows that I watch. I have been very impressed by Netflix lately. I got an email from them stating they were going to take away the multiple queue feature for people who have multiple disc accounts. I was pissed and contemplating switching to Blockbuster. I didn't even email or call to complain because I assumed it would do no good. A week later I get an email stating they would not remove this feature becuase the response was so strong in favor of keeping it. I was impressed that they listened to their customers that well. I have a feeling Blockbuster wouldn't have done that.
I had an issue with receiving damaged BluRays through my post office. Not only did they refund me a month of charges, they bumped my account up to 5 discs for a month. They also sent a team to the local post office to rectify the situation and so far I have had no issues anymore with cracked blurays. Apparently they are the number 1 corporate customer of the US postal service and have reps with them all over the place. I have been very happy with their customer service.
My vote is Netflix, but for irrational reasons. I'm still mad about Blockbuster's punitive near-monopoly before the internet age and their ridiculous late fees. Netflix was the savior that made movie-rental a bearable past-time. So, just because Blockbuster got their **** together and can offer a comparable product doesn't mean that all is forgiven for their previous practices. Besides, Netflix is the innovator and BB is the copycat. Do you want to be with a loser like BB who has to steal someone else's business plan to stay alive, or with a winner like Netflix that revolutionized an industry?
Is there a site that does both movies AND games? I get one free game rental from BB a month but that's not enough to satiate my gaming desire.
why!! theres so many other FREE options. Just google tv links alternative. Or learn IRC and d/l from the various IRC channels. They're completely safe and if you find the right ones they have high quality and speed.
well for tv shows a lot of major shows are available via their network's website for online streaming. movies and other things of course its all about the hush hush on irc channels
We got Netflix and like it. We got the 9.99 a month option, one at a time, unlimited rentals a month; we usually rent about four a so a month, so we come out ahead then just going to Blockbuster. Plus, the selection is great. Although...I've had two issues with scratched discs. What kind of moron would scratch a disc; you take it out of the sleeve, put it in the tray, then put it back in the sleeve. This last time, we rented Rambo, and just before he was about to go apes**t at the end, the movie freezes. I was so pissed; luckily I found a redbox within a few minutes of our place that had it.
