Did I stumble upon a secret, or am I just too young and naïve? I call my nearest Domino's pizza and I ask if I can get pizza for a certain price. Typically it is 2 or 3 dollars less than what they have on the price board. I've done this at a few other pizza places too, though. Does negotiating still work in this corporate controled economy?
Your negotiating the price of a pizza? LMFAO! Dude.. the next time you call can you record it? Please... I wannna hear. Most people negotiate the prices of you know a house, a boat, a car perhaps.... but a $12 dollar pizza? Cheap ass mofo!
Yes. You'd be surprised at some of the latitude that managers have to give you deals. You never know unless you ask.
The only thing I negotiate is the prices of fruits that the street vendor sells. Yesterday, I bought 6 pears for 2 dollars. He had a sign selling them for 2 for 1 dollar, so I made out like a bandit.
You think it's funny... and call him a cheap a$$ mo fo, but in most places, you can "match" prices from competitors and can negotiate stuff... you'd be surprised... anyway, I gotta go talk to my pimp...

haha russell peters surprised a dominoes since they are usually always selling pizza...unless the dough and ingredients they order have a certain shelf life and they would have to take a loss on them if they arent used by a certain date. so if on sunday they receive a shipment of ingredients to last the week for 200 pizzas and you call on a friday night and they've only sold 80 for the week you may be able to get a deal if the manager believes chopping 2-3 dollars off will ensure a sale. they are making a decent sized profit margin per pizza i would imagine so making a 2 dollar profit as opposed to a 5 dollar profit is better than taking a 50 cent loss on the ingredients. there is a local pizza shop here that my friend usually is able to get deals from, maybe i should try that next time i try to order from a dominoes
A lot of restaurants are tricky. One time my mother in law went to pick up fajitas and they didn't include free tortillas, but when I went yesterday they gave me free ones. I think it depends on who you're dealing with. I love free stuffz.
Russell Petters, funney man. He had that one GREAT stand up show but never backed it up again w/ another strong performance it seemed to me. I saw his stuff on you tube and his comedy centeral stand up special but it was okay nothing special, ohh welll.
I know they negotiate on large orders but if someone called up to negotiate one pizza I'd say **** you and hang up.
But it was not like I directly negotiated, like if we had exchanged offers. I asked if they had a $5 large pizza, and he asked and said no. Then I said what about 7.99? He said yes we can do that. I arrive to see a large costs around $11 for just cheese. I never once asked how much they charged for the large. How about that.
Well.... it was rather small..... and I didn't feel like I got my moneys worth. I guess you're right. I should have talked them down to 3.99 more like 2.99 but I'll settle for 3.99
Iono if this relates but my buddy kingof40acres while in college used to call pizza places and tell them he had a coupon or a flier that had discounts or specials. I think he even used to print out fake flyers to give to the delivery boys. oh those delivery boys fall for ne thing.
