I just found out my Grandfather has lung cancer. He's 82 and this is the first time he's had a real major health problem except for a minor stroke about 6 years ago. He was not a smoker. We still don't know all the extent of it, but they had feared he had Brain Cancer as well, but the scan didn't show anything (Thank God for that) My Grandfather is my last remaining grandparent and one of the most important figures in my life, I owe a great deal to him. I'm hoping they found it quick enough so it can be treated. Any prayer at this time would be greatly appreciated.
edit: this is finalsbound, aka your girlfriend. Grandpa Gene is one of the sweetest, most caring, selfless, and generous individuals. I'm continually praying for him. I know he's your hero and I'm hoping he has many more years left.
May your grandpa get better, Moes. Que se mejore su abuelito. I had never been a fan of doing PROMISES to saints or God, but my grandfather promised La Virgen de San Juan De Los Lagos (Jalisco, Mexico), that if he got well after a kidney surgery--this was back in the 80s, when surgery wasn't that advanced--that he would go see La Virgen. He got well, and we went on a one-day trip to see the Virgen down there. Well, we got there and saw her, my grandfather thanked her, and we left. I was all ... a long trip to be there for maybe 15 minutes? Unbelievable. Faith does wonders. Moes, he must mean so much to you since you devoted a thread to him, and that's admired here. Hope for His best.
