Well the game will be released at midnight, although without as much fanfare as Madden but I like this game so much more than Madden. Too bad for the first time in years I don't have a game system in my house but I plant to next month so I will definitely pick this game up first. So, for those of you who get it and play it post your reviews, what's new it the game, what was taken out, etc.
I'll be driving around looking for it during my lunch break tomorrow. Like I do every year at this time. This is the only game I really look forward to. All the other ones I just kind of pick up when I have some extra cash. Not this one. Is www.ps2rosters.com still the best place to get rosters?
IGN just posted their reviews for the Xbox, PS2, and PSP versions of the games: Xbox/PS2 review: http://xbox.ign.com/articles/719/719320p1.html PSP review: http://psp.ign.com/articles/719/719297p1.html
If you are waiting til tommorow stop by Circuit City. You get the game AND strategy guide for 39.99. Great deal, but I cant wait...
The last couple of years of NCAA have been a bit disappointing for me. They've nearly perfected the game atmosphere, but two years ago it was the dropped passes that killed the game, and last year it was too easy to run with the QB...whether against the CPU or a human opponent. Last year I bought NCAA early and waited for Madden to come down in price. This year I think I'll get Madden early and wait for NCAA.
King of 40 Acres posted in the July Preview Thread that Fry's (in Austin, although maybe in other places as well) will be selling the PS2 version for $30.
RC, when is the PS3 release date? I want this game for the PS2, but I keep telling myself I'm gonna wait for the PS3. I don't wonna buy this game, and a couple months later have to buy it again for the PS3.
That's what I've done for the last 3 or 4 years and I've never had any problems. I'm just wondering if there is another site with rosters, not that I have any complaints with Lintner's, or whatever his name is. Please tell me they finally scrapped the mascot games. Does anyone actually play those? They should replace them with all the I-AA conferences.
Early November. Want to say like November 10th or 12th. I don't remember the exact date off the top of my head. I'm not sure if there will be a NCAA '07 for it though. NCAA '08 might be the first PS3 NCAA football game. It depends on if EA thinks it would be worth it.
They did, but not the conferences or schedules. I read somewhere that all of that was scrapped so they could fit the mascot games on there instead.
This is correct I called them this afternoon and supposedly its $29.99 here at the Austin Fry's probably true at other Fry's too. Also, last year Fry's had run out of their copies but I got Best Buy to price match them so that's another option out there usually Best Buy is pretty good about that.

I am debating if i should get the 360 version or the ps2 version. I dled the demo for 360 and i wasnt blown away like i typically was. I know that certain features will be missing for 360. Its a tough 1 because ive played the past 4 ps2 versions. Not sure if i should wait till summer school is over... this game takes up too much time
Yeah, I checked out a few sites online, and it appears to be available at other Fry's stores (probably the major ones, if not all of them). Note that the Xbox version is also $30, and the 360 version should be $40.
Downloaded the demo off of XBox Live Marketplace...not much to it...1 minute quarters and you could only play as Florida vs. Florida State. That being said...WOW. Much improved over last year. The graphics are tight and it plays really well. Looking forward to getting the full version.
So far the defense, passing, and running all seem less bullsh%#y... Through a few games I have lots of optimism. Get excited... I think.
Actually almost ALL the really good features are gone from the 360 version (home field advantage, All-time teams, and 1AA teams among them). If I had any money to my name I'd pick up the PS2 version along with Guitar Hero tomorrow.
