they just interviewed ron artest on nba tv right now on fan night i will try t recap here: (i paraphrased most of it)

artest was wearing his practice jersey backwards...he looked to be at a facility with his and yao's jerseys in the background.

ahmad said hello and ron responded "no doubt what's crackin?" to which everyone laughed

ahmad asked how the rockets been able to be the 3 seed

artest" we been doing aite with mac out and me out but with yao ming down on the block its been hard for teams to beat us no matter what the circumstances may be but now that we have had some healthy players for the past 12 games i dont remember anyone being hurt or injured with the exception of carl landry but other than the we been good and we should do big things leading up to the playoffs."

    webb: wassup ron
    ron: who's this?
webb talking about artest role with tmac
ron interrupts webb: is this c-webb? c-webb? (webb says yeah) webb what's poppin? everything good?
webb: with tmac being out how do you change your role and how to you get to the next step?

artest: you know this summer when i heard i got traded to houston i just pretty much worked on my outside shot and try to become more of a player to compliment those guys, but i also was working on my individual game so when tmac went out i was totally prepared you know to step in to help score the ball help make plays create double teams and continue the vision the owners and general managers have to getting to that 'chip so i am totally capable in filling that void."

    bibby:ron its mike bibby
ron: yes sir! (with enthusiasm) MIKE WHATS GOOD BABY! WHATS POPPIN?

that was the funny stuff mike and ron went on to see how each other family was doing, the kids the family.

    then ron asks mike:
    Can I borrow some money?
mike doesnt hear so ron asks again
Hey Mike can I borrow a million?

Sam Mitchell: Ron this is sam
    Ron: Yes sir:
SM: i have more of comment: i am amazed how you guys play without playing but people do not realize how young your team is you have a rookie point guard. i love watching the young guys play. this shows how much of a leader you are i just wanted to commend you on helping the young guys and this team to the third spot in the west which is not an easy thing to do.

ron: well i think over my career i was never able to be trusted..(my feed went out but it sounded like what he did in chicago and indiana)..in sacramento I was able to become more mature i was in a position where i had been through a lot i played with reggie miller so i learned a lot from him rick adelman in sacramento and now an organization is starting to trust me more and i think if i had been a little bit more mature when i was younger we could have seen what type of player that i really was its just coming to light right now i am only 29 so its a good time i am in my prime right now i am still able to do some things on the court you know dominate the court at times and take the young fellas under my wing you know we got two young point guards but at the end of the day they are going to lead us to where we want to go and we have to help them but we got shane with brent barry on the team its good we have deke in the locker room also as long as we keep
giving those guys confidence and some guidance you know they'll do fine.

ahmad: ron this week you guys host the lakers and the spurs u guys are
27-6 at home are you guys using this week to use as some sort of measuring stick to see how good you guys are

(at this point ron starts smiling and rocking side to side in his chair like a kid)

ron: not necessarily you know we lost a lot of games against lower level teams you know in the nba earlier in the season somebody asked me that question last week and i said when we played memphis that was a measuring stick when we portland that was a measuring stick game when we play lakers or utah everygame we play is a measuring stick because we had adversity no matter what record the team had the whole season. the lakers are definitely our the next game so its definitely a big task for us but even if we play oklahoma or sacramento we have to sure improve in far as putting the teams away no matter what team that we play.

ahmad: ron thanks stay healthy and continue success in houston

ron: yes sir thanks a lot

I love the way he answered that question. I love Ron for this very reason, he doesn't take teams lightly and gives it his all every night.

    Tru Warier!

Thanks. I wonder what Bibby was doing on NBATV. I would like to sign him next season. He's obviously close to Ron and he definitely knows Adelman and what he wants to run. He's right at 40% from three.
