franchishoops, perhaps you should ease up on the posting, or lower the frantic level in each post. something.

it will be 82 games. it will be 10 teams in the conference 4 times, 4 teams 3 times, and the other conference two games a piece. that's the only way that makes sense and it makes sense according to the article in the initial post. each west team will visit charlotte once equates to them playing 2 games against each west team. two eastern teams will only come to charlotte once equates to 10 teams coming twice, 2 teams that they play 3 times coming twice, and the other 2 teams they play 3 times coming once. that article only makes sense for an 82 game schedule.

why would the nba suddenly shift to 80 games, which only further adds uneven home/road series against teams, instead of sticking with 82. something tells me we'll see an 82 game schedule come july 29th or whenever.

I can't believe this is a debate ... usually there's a higher level of basketball IQ here.

82 games. It's been that way for a long time, and it isn't changing.

I know there has been 82 games the past god knows how many seasons, but there has also been 4 Divisions, the whole format is changing..and i read that there was going to be 80 games, i am not too sure on that..i needed re-assurance,haven't gotten any but ***********-com is a legit website so...

but as a rockets fan, i hope its going to remain 82 games..cause thats an extra 2, and those 2 are needy for those 8th seed battlers...which wont be us..:)

You don't need to hope. It's 82. Always was.

Any change of that kind of magnitude would be a big deal -- it wouldn't be something that would sneak through just in some online publication. They made a typo. That's all.
