Link They have Rockets at 6th, ahead of San Antonio. Pretty generous I would say. Houston (5) 41-23 Pace: 89.5 (18), Off: 110.0 (15), Def: 105.6 (4) Thanks to a suffocating defense, the Rockets have won 12 straight at home, where they'll host both the Lakers and Spurs this week. After the last time the Rockets played the Lakers, the New York Times told us how Shane Battier defends Kobe Bryant so well. Do you think the Mamba will be out to prove some people wrong on Wednesday?
Interesting to see how we handle Kobe, simply becuz our team defense is at it's best and Ron Ron and Shane will both get a shot at defending Kobe. I just don't want to see another 3pt shot made by Kobe in the final seconds. Why does he do that
that site says we're #15 in offense which is the worst by far for any team in the western playoffs, but that's for the course of the whole season when t-mac was still killing us. can anyone compare our offense to the rest of the western conference since t-mac went down?
when i clicked the link it says we're #6. anyway, i was going to respond with my usual "power rankings are based on one mans opinion, they dont mean anything." but considering all we've been through this season, and more importantly how well this team has responded lately, its great to get the recognition.
What if someone created a system that integrated both writer's polls and coaches' polls with computer stats? With that system it would be impossible to rank the best team #1.
Honestly, we cares about rankings and "expert" picks? It means zilch next to what you do on the basketball court. 7/8 ESPN "experts" picked the Lakers to win the Finals in 5 games or less. Where did that get em? I'd much rather go into games being overlooked and underestimated that being the top dog everybody is gunning for. It works to our advantage! But thanks for the recognition, NBA.com
