Good article. I liked the part about "almost certain to advance past the first round".

It was generally very supportive of McGrady.

I am a bit like Jeff feeling deprived of Rocket news, but hopefully that will change with the first pre-season game.

we havent made it past the first round of the playoffs since 1997!

i hadnt even thought about that, but thats a really long time.

also kind of scary that yao and mutumbo are the only players over 6'9".

Yao and Cato were the only players over 6'9" last year.

I think the average height is probably higher this year because this years team is loaded with a bunch of 6'9" players.

If you look at the Lakers, only Shaq and Medvendenko (sp?) were over 6-9 (Horace Grant was useless). Not much size in the NBA nowadays. Also, Mo looks like he might be 6-10 to me, he seems pretty tall. Juwan Howard might also be 6-10.

pretty accurate and in-depth preview...I sure do like our chances this year...we have two great offensive players, nice shooters, good role players and people who will defend the basketball...this year, our only possible enemies that I see will be lack of chemistry or if we just beat ourselves (too many TOs, not playing together, etc)...
