This is Adam Silver's carrot anyways. They're just hamsters in his hamster cage. We'll see if it translates. By beauty I'm referring to the simplicity of the rules. If referring to the style of play, I agree All star game is an exhibition game. A little flash, no defense, and most important of all don't get yourself injured. Players have it correct, it's the league and TV ratings people who are not happy and greedy
I guess. My initial reaction is what it is. Basketball's core scoring system is simple. Easy to understand and you can enjoy the game with others who normally don't watch, which is what an all star game will pull. I'm having pre-ptsd of superbowls with family where I have to explain the general rules, and what a down is. Who knows maybe other fans will like this and it will catch on.
haha it was a little confusing to me at first but regardless the AS weekend as a whole is just for fun anyway. they can't please everyone.
I mean, every pick up game I've ever played in was a Target Score, not a game clock. haha as for games that mix clocks and the Elam Ending, as @YOLO says, The Basketball Tournament does. I posted a link on previous page of a cfnet thread about it. [Lowe]: New kind of crunch time has NBA luminaries excited It's called the Elam Ending. It adds 7 points at the 3 minute mark (or first stoppage), then turns off the game clock. Elam Ending has garner much debate, so it's not surprising NBA wants to field test it. I wouldn't be surprised if G-League becomes a test bed, next. I doubt it will ever make it into the NBA, but the benefits are worth testing ... benefits being getting rid of comeback strategies involving excessive fouling (boring endings).
I'm in the minority...I love All-Star game and the Pro Bowl, as they are. Why does it need, like a regular season or playoff game? I'm satisfied with high scoring, showboating, and spectacle nature of it. The skill challenges, like home run derby, QB challenge, Rookie game, celebrity games, and dunk contest are still awesome. I wish they had more.
Beal was Hella snubbed, Kyle Lowry and Milwaukee's Khris Middleton, probably should've been left off.
for what. lowry and kris are both deserving. no way does the top teams in the league record wise have only 1 all star there's a whole lot of crying these days about being snubbed. if you feel snubbed put in the work and make guys around you better. once lillard started openly b****ing a couple years ago about not making the AS game, i guess it opened the flood gates.
every player now has his agent or gf go and cry to the media? LOL at Beal ,,NOW is he going to try put the Wizards in the POs? What was he doing all this time then? SMH this guy looks at the POs as only a tool to make the ASG.
These borderline All-Stars feel they're snubbed. There's only so many spots, what do they expect? Instead of saying they're snubbed, MAN up and name the player they feel they should replace. Don't be passive aggressive. That I'd like to see.
