Watching Knicks vs Sixers pre season game. All I can say about the rookie Nate Robinson is WOW. He is short but super quick, strong, and has an amazing jumping ability. Suns were stupid to give away his rights to the Knicks.
i said the same thing watching him in the summer league games. he is going to be a star in this league
He's a liability on defense but I think he makes an excellent sparkplug guard that can give you instant offense. He'll have a solid career for years to come
I watched him play the Coogs a couple of times in college.. he was a real gamer.. his height might keep him from being a super star, but he will probably have a good career overall.
Joey Graham of the Toronto Raptors = Ron Artest this guy can score and shut people down....he's Atest minus the psycho part. and for Nate Robinson...little guys don't get you a ring.
Isn't Isiah Thomas 6'1" or so? Nate Robinson is listed as only 5'9" but probably is more like 5'7" or 5'8". I don't care how good he is but it's gonna be extremely hard for him to overcome his height deficit to become a superstar in this league.
I don't think he was drafted to be a superstar. they already have Marbury. He was drafted to be spark igniting backup pg and that's exactly what he is.
And for everyone getting on nate cuz he's really like 5'8" or 5'9" AI is really 5'10" or so, even though he's listed as 6 feet.
Are you talking about Isiah the player or Isiah the GM. 'cause while the former may help you win a championship, the latter is damn well gonna hurt your chances.
star in the league???? that's going WAY too far. he'll be a great change of pace player off the bench, like an earl boykins. valuable to any team. but defensively and as far as PG skills go, he won't be a starter. he doesn't get his teammates easy looks. look at his assists stats in collge. he's definitely a good floor leader but a PG in the nba HAS to be able to create shots for his teammates, he's going to have to learn to do that to be a starter. and defensively, if you put him out there for 30+ minutes they are just going to run the other point down in the post against him and get easy buckets all night. and if you run help over there the offense will just swing the ball to the open man. his size is too much of a liability on defense to be a starter.
The only thing is Knicks's got crowford and Marbulry. It's hard for this kid to get minutes in his rookie year.
