Qualifying changes earlier in the month, now this: http://espn.go.com/racing/nascar/cu...nascar-makes-big-changes-chase-playoff-format 16 cars now make the chase, after 3 races 4 get eliminated, after 3 more another 4, and so on until they are left with only 4 racers. First of those final 4 to finish in the final race wins. A win in any of the chase rounds gets you into the next round. A win in one of the first 26 races pretty much locks you into the chase. I'll be interested to see how this works out for them. They needed something to shake things up a bit.
I'm on board with everything besides the finals. Placing that much important on 1 track is borderline ludicrous. Not everybody is good at Homestead. Even a 2-week long "finals" would have made more sense. It's as if they are just making a move to curtail Jimmie's dominance.
