Now that I think about it, it was fantastic for his first time directing and writing a film.

Watched ND and Anchorman both last night, I think that ND was actually the better, if not funnier movie. There is something about Napoleon Dynamite, I can't figure out what it is, but I found myself engrossed with the story because it seemed so genuine. I'd give it a 7 out of 10.

since anchormans been mentioned has anyone bought or watched the "wake up ron burgundy" dvd? i guess it's just like another movie made from what they didn't use in the theatrical version since i heard most of it was ad-libbed. i bought the double pack but haven't had any time to watch it yet.

Nope, but all the extras have been hilarious. I plan on watching it this weekend though.

Anchorman at home was tons funnier than at the theatre. Wonder why? :D

I'm waiting for Anchorman to arrive from Netflix.

I have a feeling I will find it insipid and stupid, like I felt "Dodgeball" was.

My sister has decided to give "Napolean Dynamite" a second chance, since she walked out of the initial screening at my house in favor of watching random garbage on TV (which I told her had to be better than this flick).

Surprisingly, I thought "Old School" was OK.

But I just don't see how Will Ferrell is funny. and I already know I'm in the minority, so all the Ferrell fans can keep their mouths shut! :p

    O.C.? Abso-freakin-lutely

Desperate Housewives? Never seen it. It conflicts with Sunday Night Football on ESPN and I never deemed it TiVO worthy.

I'm a little bit behind on this thread, but I just saw the movie and thought I would comment. I didn't think it was all that funny when I watched it, every now and then, but there were some annoying parts in between that made me forget the funny stuff. Now that I'm reading what people have posted here, there were a lot more funny parts than I had remembered. Maybe I'll have to watch it again.

I thought Napolean Dynamite was really good. I thought Garden State was awesome. I thought Anchorman was overrated. I really liked Dodgeball. I also recently watched Shaun of the Dead and the Harold & Kumar movie...both hilarious.

I can't believe anyone watches the OC.

My boss went to high school with the star of Napoleon Dynamite. Haven't seen it yet though.

    My thoughts

Napoleon Dynamite 7.9 out of 10
Garden State 9.1 out of 10
    Anchorman 6.9 out of 10
    Dodgeball 4.8 out of 10
Shaun of the Dead 8.2 out of 10
Harold and Kumar 7.3 out of 10

The OC (1st summer season) 7.9 out of 10
(anything after that) 3.9 out of 10

Harold and Kumar is probably my favorite movie since Jay and Silent Bob and The Big Lebowski.

Harold and Kumar is absolutely one of my top five all time favorite movies.

I've seen it about 7 times and I still bust a gut during the "Hold On" scene in the extreme dudes' car.

Jay-Z the OC kicks ass. I cant explain why but theirs something about it that makes me coming back for more. Its not a great series but the humor makes it worth a look. Dodgeball wasnt very funny. Some funny scenes but nothing i would want to see again. Friends tell me Harold and Kumar is great. Ill give it a try.
