And why exactly does this matter? No Republicans have ever been duped by someone before, besides Dubya?

    You're really stretching Brian.

RM95 in defense of Brian, the title of this thread pretty much says it all...

    "Nah, this isn't news"...

I know, I'm just trying to rile him up...or he could be saying it isn't news because of the liberal media. Hmmmmm.

RM95 -- I would seriously venture to guess that you've responded over 50 times to a democrat problem with, "What? And Republicans don't do this?" -- or worse, "Republicans would do the same thing".

But it doesn't stop you from pointing out Republican problems.

Hey, I'm just standing up for Hillary, again, by pointing out that based on her track record, it's entirely possible she believed this woman was telling the truth.

She's publicly backed criminals before-- I mean, she went on the Today show to blast the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy that had made up these false charges about President Clinton polishing Monica's tonsils with the pink torpedo.

And she was wrong! See? No one can accuse her of knowingly deceiving the people of New York. This chick just pulled a fast one on Hillary.

Gosh, I try to stand up and defend you guys on the left and this is the treatment I get.

My main question was what was bad about this? She was duped, as were other people. The only people who would see this situation in a bad light would be Republicans (I'm not saying there wouldn't be Democrats who wouldn't try to do the same thing if it was a Republican in Hillary's situation).

Sorry, I'll be sure to use the smilies more often, jeez. Maybe you should get your sarcasm radar checked out Clutch, you've become too damn dependent on those things, and you don't even get them sometimes when they are there.

Because you added a smilie, is it wrong for me to respond now? Just to clarify "sometimes" -- I'd like to highlight the one time you think I didn't get a supposed joke because it had a smilie attached to it.

How Much Did Bush Pay the U.S. Supreme Court?

shanna just spent 3 paragraphs blasting my credibility on the matter -- and somehow it's a joke because it had a smilie at the bottom.

    Sorry I missed that joke.

Do you think, just maybe, since you were involved in the iammiranda deal (which certainly silenced shanna quickly), you took my non-joke response a wee bit too personal?

[IMG] (thus assuring full immunity if you for some reason get peeved)

As for this one, in your own words you wanted a riled up response, you got one, and now you don't like it.

    Sorry, I guess.

    A. I wasn't affected, nor was shanna, about the iammiranda deal. For the 47th time, we thought it would've been funny per the conversation at Showplace Lanes. We didn't realize that you wouldn't think so. As much as we both love this site, we really don't, at least I don't, put so much stock in anything that's said here to where I'd be embarassed or start taking things personal. If that were the case, I wouldn't have been at ARA I or II.

    B. I specifically said I was trying to rile BrianKagy up, not you. And was just wanting a response, not a full on debate over this. There shouldn't be any debate over a non-issue like this. I realize, and God I can't believe I'm saying this, that he does a much better job at taking a joke than you do.

    C. As far as this whole issue, the only thing I'm pointing out, as I've stated, is that Hillary's not the first, nor will she be the last person, Democrat or otherwise, to be duped by someone. My original post assumed one of two things. That BrianKagy posted this as a "HaHa" or that the was posting it as the liberal media being quiet about something that they shouldn't have. Either way, I never saw this as a problem, so your original response was false and stupid.

    A. The only conversation at Showplace Lanes was you asking me if I knew who the "miranda" poster was and said I didn't know. Next day you and shanna are posting as "iammiranda" acting as a pretty messed up Republican. You fill in the blanks.

    B. Never mind everything I stated on your perception of me not handling a joke. Just keep on keeping on with that.

    C. I'll be very careful in the future to take any response of yours at face value.

I think I pointed out that I was joking, guess y'all missed that part.

Maybe you should read through the enitre thread before responding.

Kagy, I'm sure Hillary's glad you're on her side! [IMG]

Without regurgitating the Republican mantra fadeaway, can you enlighten us as to why you can't trust her?
