Saw this story on 60 Minutes and while I do feel a little bit sorry for her that she got investigated for something she didn't do I don't feel sorry she has to get deported she broke a federal law that's unacceptable and you can't make up for that regardless of your service to the country. For her case I guess you could but it would set a bad precedent.
Well based on the way Rez got bashed they would call her a cheater (fake marriage) and that she got what she deserved.
It is sad she got ratted out after all she did. However how many families are out there in similar situation trying to sneak in here, but can't? I don't think it is fair to them to let one person get off and not the others.

Marriage or naturalization fraud can be waived, I assume. I worked in immigration law for 5 years many years ago. Is it possible she pissed off some government officials.
But why? She broke a serious federal law. That would set a bad precedent just because she did good deeds her old demons get unpunished? That's not how life works.
Statute of limitations. It was so long ago that she could have gotten away with it but didn't want to send A LOT of money fighting it in Court so she waived her right to it.
I think what you are referring to is the fact she plead guilty to looking at classified documents and didn't want to pay legal fees so she plead guilty to it. She admitted the green card fraud without any hesitation.
I have no idea how it works in reality, but why would it take a lot of money to fight something when the statue of limitations has passed? Something doesn't add up - did she even talk to a lawyer for advice?
Because she's fighting against the US government. I think it was basically a plea bargain to avoid a long drawn out court battle but then again she didn't put up much of a fight.
I'm guessing she didn't tell her American husband (second marriage) about the first one. If so, that is pretty bad deception.
If I'm a government official, I'm sweeping this one under the rug and let her continue continue her counter terrorism work. She has PROVED that she is an incredible asset to national security. If there ever was an exception to the rule, this would be a prime case. Her two sister, well ...they gotta go. But Nada Prouty have proven that she is more useful to America when she is working for us to revoking her citizenship on some technicality.
But she cant work anywhere now. She has no work authorization since she technically doesnt even have a greencard. On a side note, that's some unprofessional **** by prosecutors. They have zero evidence so they just leak a bunch of nonsense to the media and create a bunch of hysteria. The justice department has to clean that stuff up.
I would be worried about what career path she will take no that she can't work in America and was treated this way (if what she's saying is true). She's not going to just start a business or become an office clerk on the outside world.
