I still don't understand this FB/MySpace craze. (yeah yeah you knew this post was coming) Whenever I'm asked if I have either, I ask them if they use Mysace/FB to meet new people/make new friends...what else can it be used for? They respond no, but I know 99% of the people who use either do make new friends/meet people through other friends. It's cool if you do, and for the record I would use facebook if I did start one.
i tried to score Hannah Montana concerts. One for someone to go, two for the resale value. Pay your mortage for the rest of the year.
not everyone. basically all the friends i've made beyond college and beyond aren't even on it. the only myspace friends i have are the ones from HS who didn't go to college. FB pwns.
Just another avenue to date the ladies...oh wait I use myspace, and I agree, it was fun at first but I rarely check it, maybe once a week...
I'm on both, but don't use either anymore. I used to love facebook until all the apps started showing up on there. Now I hate facebook and I've always thought Myspace was somewhat lame.
Myspace is the trashier version of Facebook. At least for a while you had to be in college to be on Facebook.
I got on Myspace for the available trashy poon. There was no keeping in touch with close ones intentions for me on there ever, though that did happen and it was cool. Only check once a week just to see if I get 2 extra view counts. Got on Facebook as a favor for a friend only cuz he asked me (he wanted to look like he knew a lot of people). Facebook seemed like an RPG game or something, just you all alone in a secluded area and you had to add features and build attributes, do searches and network yourself out, unavailable people you had to unlock...nice layout much crisper and regular people acceptance than Myspace but didnt care for it really. I still only have the one friend on there. My family asked if I had Myspace and I said no, so that should tell you what I think of it. I'd add them on family friendlier Facebook but if both sites accidentally deleted my accounts I wouldnt be too upset
I've dated several people that I met on myspace, including the girl I'm dating now. It certainly beats a "pay" dating website.
I prefer Myspace, although it is technically buggy. I like it b/c you can meet random people on there. I often get friend invites from ppl in France, Latvia, Israel, Spain and a bunch of countries. I have no idea what they are searching for when they find me, but its kinda cool meeting random people. On Facebook, since its mostly a closed system you can't view random profiles in other regions. Also on Myspace, I add all the bands I listen to. They often update their tour info first on their Myspace page, and thus it keeps me posted on to recent events. When I first hear about a band, I also go to their Myspace page to listen to their tracks. Facebook is very solidly and cleanly built, but the reason why is you can't really customize your page like you can on Myspace. I don't like the update feature on Facebook, that shows every little change you make on your page. I disable that feature on my Facebook.
