Man, I have been chasing around a problem with keyboard/mouse for weeks. I thought I had an infected computer and kept rolling back the XP to previous weeks and the problem would go away for a time. Basically, I would start getting caps when Caps lock was not pressed, or the mouse would highlite numerous ICons and I could not launch a singla progam, then when I rebooted it would hang at the CTL-Alt-Dlt screen. It was maddening. And compounding the problem is that I have 2 machines hooked up to the same Monitor/Keyboard/mouse through a switcher. Finally, after rolling back, and trying to bypass the switcher etc...I figured out it could just be the keyboard..... Well, I have a bunch of em around the garage, so I dug one out and WALLAH problem solved. Man, what a nightmare, I have broken these 2 machines under my desk down about 10 times in the last 2 weeks.....and it was just the keyboard. Dang...time wasted ! But problem solved. DD
Does your "D" key still work? Due to your penchant for writing "DD" at the end of every post, that's 55,362 button presses right there alone, based on post count. I would imagine that in the past few months, you've also worn out the following keys: "V", "Y", "S", "P", "A", and "N". Man, those poor buttons. You should really let them rest, y'know... uh... to preserve your new keyboard and stuff.
I could have saved you time, if only you would have asked. It's always the part that you least expect. Let that be a lesson to everyone that when you're machine doesn't turn on it's your next door neighbor's aquarium that caused the problem. you're welcome
One of these days I am going to start a thread with nothing but stories of how I fixed stuff where I wasn't smart enough to check stuff, too...
On that note I should start threads about Vince Young being God reincarnated and that I want to have his baby... ...oh and play VSpan more, no wait, make him the owner...
