    my first rockets game....

    ugh! rockets* not rocket's

dude, where did my voice go? i love rocket's games! bgm and me didnt decide to goto the game last night untill about an hour and a half before it started. it was the coolest. it pretty much blows watching it on tv, but it's the coolest when you have those super fly foam hands! i was disapointed in BGM because he wasnt yelling very much, but i made up for his wimpy yelling. we started out in the top part of the compaq center but after the 2nd quarter we up graded our seats to the 8th row mid-court(silly isle people not doing their job!) those seats were way better!!! i really didnt know who the players were, but i like moochie. i hear everyone strongly dis-likes moochie because he gets paid a lot cause he signed some contract and is only an average player, oh well i dont care i still dig him cause he seems like a fun player. it kinda sucked how we lost the game in like the last SECOND!! atleast i got a foam hand and some of those super cool pom-poms. so if any you guys have some season tickets you dont want=) im ganna goto every game from now until march. did any of you guys goto the game?

Yeah our seats kicked ass in the 2nd half. Right in the center, 8 rows up. You guys can bash Compaq crowds all you want, but the place can stay empty as far as I care, that just guarantees more empty seats in the bottom bowl.

We were pretty much the only people making noise down there, the rest of the people in the area were old and smelt like mothballs...

Three of my cousins and I attended the game and it was a heart breaker. We purchased the $10 seats in section 223 then moved to sec 229 towards the top. I am still a wuss to try to go the lower prom but one of the days i will. My cousin and I were the loudest throughout the section all around us. Both of us lost our voice and just sat there for 10 mins in silence after that shot went in. We were freaking out that Bullard was in the game for the last play and thought he was going to take the last shot but he had nothing to do with the play. I was kinda laughing when the Hornets players were slamming into Clutch when he was in the way of the entrance tunnel after the game ended. We blammed the loss on one of our cousins because the last time we came he didnt come with us and the Rocks won by 37pts vs the Mavs. If anybody read my post in the Rockets thread (http://bbs.clutchcity.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=28389), looks like I wont be getting season tickets for next year. :(

My first Rockets game was December 9th, 2000 against the Sonics in Key Arena. It was a perfect game. Hakeem had 17 points, five boards and five blocks. Steve had 21 points and took over down the stretch. Maurice Taylor had his best game of the season up to that point. The Rockets had a record-setting nine three-pointers in the second quarter. Gary Payton became the all-time scoring leader for the Sonics.

It was a back-and-forth game throughout the second half. In the fourth quarter, Gary Payton had two opportunities for three-point plays which would have put Seattle up four each time, but missed both extra free throws, giving the Rockets life. Hakeem had two blocks on Vin Baker in one possession at one point. With three minutes to go, and the score tied at 99, Steve drilled a three-pointer on a fast break that was triggered by a Hakeem steal. At that point, I knew they would win. The Key Arena crowd was silenced.

The Rockets got the win, 111-104. It was beautiful.

    so close yet so far.

we had super fly $10 seats too in section 221, but we never really sat in them we sat in the 2nd row instead of the 15th.
