Apparently not,...I didn't want to dwell, but he implied how fast it can go. Especially with a marriage breakdown due to the crazy schedule...I decided to shut up after that...I did ask him about his best success against a known hitter...(Bonds),...and the infamous ex-wife of Bagwell...(He said I wouldn't believe the crap he went through - said she worked at the mall when they met?)
I used to work with a former MLB pitcher in San Diego. Guy by the name of John Curtis. Nicest guy in the world, very low-key and friendly. Very un-jock-like. One day another co-worker mentioned that John played in the majors, so I hit him up and he said, "Yeah, I played for a while." He wouldn't elaborate, so I looked him up on the 'net, and the guy played in the bigs for 15 YEARS!!! Won about 100 games. His being a lefty probably added another 5 years to his career. Anyway, despite my best efforts, I never could convince him to play on the company softball team. GRRRR!!!!!
My father's brother's nephew's counsin's former roomate with with this girl who knew this guy who saw Jeff Kent at 31 flavors.
When I was in high school John Elway came through the Drive Thru at the BK that I worked at! And so did Laphonso Ellis. And Scott Hastings.
