Well 7'5 courtside is totally different from 7'5 in the nose bleed section or any other section. Anyhow the Rockets are talented (we all know this) but they are lacking any direction. Spacing is horrible, we are lucky to have won this game. I was a Yao Ming critic but he has proven to be of worth to the NBA so I give him his props. It seems common knowledge would tell you if you have the tallest man on court that can hold his own offensively, you start the offense through him and since he is unselfish and a great passer (last pass to mooch was sweet in person) chances are he will make the right decision for the offense. Steve, Cuttino, Mo T. start through Yao before you start playing with the ball (Steve, Cuttino) or before you hold the ball for 7 secs. before making a decision to drive or to pass (Mo T.). Its as simple as that, start with Yao. Secondly, pass, pass, pass. Steve would not have to try so hard if the TEAM (not just him) would pass the ball. These guys need to go back to the basic's we need our coach to pound this into their heads (passing is a good thing) Rudy for the love of Jennifer Lopez if they dont pass make them ride the pine. Steve is our franchise and in my eyes he is untradeable as is Yao, but they are the only 2 that are in my no trade rule. That being said, at times Steve was trying entirely too hard to make a play, well Steve bottom line is you cant do it yourself. There were countless times where Steve simply had to drive and pass to the man sitting on the wing, but h instead tried to either jump over or under defenders. Dawg it doesnt work all the time so calm down and let the game come to you instead of you trying to force yourself to the game. Steve is great but I honestly think he should listen to Calvin Murphy more as much as Calvin talks. He is usually right about what Steve should and should not do. As for Cuttino, when your on your on. But I have a problem with him being the first option, Let me explain, their should be at least one pass before you decide to jack the rock up. Everyone in my section was saying Cat pass the ball. One guy said we just traded one black hole dont tell me the cancer was contagious. Cuttion had been doing well before what I saw tonight, you contribute by letting the game come to you, its okay to be agressive but dont think you can always take the game in your own hands. All and all, we were fortunate to get some calls we got at the end that really boosted us to the victory. However, mentally our Rox seem to be no different from the Clippers (we really have identical teams). Trade's is not the answer it is up to those who get paid all that loot to play the game they love, to decide that their ready to take it to another level. So far we (they, Rox) have been talkin bout' it but havent been about it. We won tonight and thats always good but we have a ways to go before we can think about the DYNASTY....

I read through it with pain.......The pain killer: pressing the 'enter' key.....

As being said, this is a good assessment.

U85, you said what is in my mind. Great win is always good. But I don't see the improvements that the Rox need to become a playoff team. This team has many gaps needed to be filled. JP has just filled one, rebounding and perimenter defense. I still saw too many opportunities were passed when Yao was in a good position. And SF drove through 3 big men and lost the ball by over-dribbling. And CAT still shot first, passing was his last resort. MoT still missed his shots. Moochie still held the ball so damn long as if he had a better play in his head than the coach's. Glen Rice still missed most of his shots. Rudy just looked clueless when they scored single digit in the 3rd. I'm glad they got this win but the problems still exist.

totally agree.......a win does not fix a single thing. Consistency is the name of the game, and Rockets just don't have it yet. Being up or down by ten, it's very hard to see the outcome. As a fan, all you can do is hope and pray.

At least 3-4 opportunities when Yao was within a few feet under the basket and the ball was not passed to him. Those were easy scores. Unfortunately, after this game, Cuttino will think his scoring is what the Rockets need to rely upon.

Continuing at this rate, Rockets will not go far at all. Three games a week. Cuttino shoots well one night, we win. Then lose the other two. The win tonight will just hinder the real problem, selfishness of the permiter players.

One positive thing, when Cuttino plays good Def, we are in a good shape. I just hope he thinks that what the Rockets need from him more than his attempts to score.

Much much better. This is actually worth reading when you can see the thoughts broken down.
Letters make up words, words make up sentences, sentences make up paragraphs, lots of sentences make really big paragraphs that are hard to read. At least it wasn't in all CAPS!!
