A friend of mine has a team she's organized for the MS 150 to Austin. Recently, there's been a falling out with one of the participants (a now exboyfriend). He's been booted from the team. She wants her sister to ride in his place, but the sister is unregistered and can't register at this point. I'm assuming the easiest route would be to buy out the exboyfriend's packet with his tags, etc. This is unlikely to happen. Any suggestions on how the sister can ride? Will she be denied access to certain services or campgrounds if she's unregistered?
I can't imagine she would be allowed to use any of the services if she is not registered. That means no lunch stops, no lag van, etc. etc. They couldn't keep her out of the park in La Grange, but she'd have to be well prepared to go without the lunch/rest stops. I'd tell her to at least try and buy the guy's packet from him.
For a moment there, while looking at the thread title, I confused MS-150 with MS-13. Two very different things.
So they registered as individuals, as opposed to the team registering X number of spots? Absolutely nothing you can do. The kicked out person is still free to ride if that's what they want to do. The MS150 organizers are pushing to come up with a way to allow late registers take the place of drop outs. Evan
