    <a href="http://www.mozilla.org">Mozilla has gone to 1.0 </a>.

The GREATEST web browser I've ever used!! Many props to all of the people who have put in the time and effort to make this excellent cross-platform application.

I don't really like it. It runs slower than IE 6 on my computer.

I've finally decided to try Mozilla out, and so far I like it a lot. This might become my primary browser from now on. It's quite a bit faster than IE6 on my computer. Nice that it's open source too.

I like it, but why does it try to set itself up as a server when I open it up?

server?? which download did you do? if you did the small one, it will d/l the stuff from a server . . . but I'm not quite sure what you mean by setting itself up as a server

If you use the browser, go and download a different skin or two. I use "Pinball" on all my computers.

I use ZoneAlarm, and when I open up Mozilla I get the SERVER PROGRAM alert. It asks, “Do you want to allow Mozilla to act as a server?” I chose no and it still seems to work fine, but I can’t figure out why it wants to do this. I believe I downloaded the standard version. Netscape 6 used to do this to me also, and it’s based on Mozilla, IIRC. Does this happen to anybody else?

I was just at downloads.com and i saw on the main page about Mozilla, it got a 7 out of 10 by them and the reviews looked pretty good. I looked at the 1 screenshot they had of it and it looks like Netscape. I know you can d-load other skins, but is it really worth the d-load??

    OH yeah -- it's worth the d/l

7 out of 10 seems kindof low, but IE got the same rating, and Opera only got a 6/10.

That is the "classic" skin -- I was kindof hoping they would've changed to a different one when they made the gold release. Download Mozilla and try a different skin. Modern skin is pretty nice, as is my favorite -- pinball.

You could also download the small one that only picks what you want to install. I can't guarantee that you'll like it better than IE, but if you give it a few days, I imagine you'll like it at least as much, if not more.

It won't overwrite IE6 or anything like that -- you can have both at the same time.
