Friend of mine sent this to me ... this is a terrible quality bootleg, but it's a sneak peek at Tron 2 (Tr2n) from Comic-con. <object width="520" height="411"><param name="movie" value="http://www.dailymotion.com/swf/x68xhi&related=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.dailymotion.com/swf/x68xhi&related=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="520" height="411" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always"></embed></object>
I haven't seen a good sfx movie for far too long. The last CGI movie I liked was T2. Hopefully, this doesn't disappoint. As much as I hate reading text speak... That trailer made me go, OMG!
LOL I was just reading about this over at AICN: http://www.aintitcool.com/node/37629 Thanks for the footage Clutch.
Could this be its IMDB listing? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1099232/ Fingers crossed for Steven Lisberger to be the writer and director.
wowzers! I'm so excited! horoo - the article from AICN says it might be Joe Kosinski - who is apparently working on the new Logan's Run movie(?!?!).
apparently a tv commercial director. that lot tend to be pretty rigid with trademark styles... that's a dampener. if this ad is anything to go by an overuse of slo-mos and zoom ins are going to annoy me. <object width="380" height="300"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/zjwS_0WV-1Q&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/zjwS_0WV-1Q&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="380" height="300"></embed></object>
Here is another article this time from Jim Hill of JimHillMedia.com. He is pretty dead on with his info when it comes to all things Disney. Disney screens proof-of-concept footage for "TR2N"
he may be right on this. but jim hill's reputation with regard to disney is crap. he likes to pretend he's dead on. he throws everything against the wall and sees what sticks...ever rumor possible.
If they're gonna go the ad/video route and hire some hack why not just think outside the box, shoot for the stars and hire Chris Cunningham. I should be a studio executive.
That's what i was thinking. The first one was so long ago that its an upgrade visually but i don't it didn't look like anythink special.
It obviously won't have the same visual impact of the first film, but that doesn't mean it won't be great sci-fi, special effects, mega-hit.
If Speed Racer had that kitchy BS comedy relief clipped out, it might've been a semi-decent movie to watch.
Nice, was just talking to some guys at work about the old Tron Deadly Discs game. Hard to talk about the 80's anymore, to people born in the 90's... But this is a nice suprise, hope its good
Funny you mention Chris Cunningham, I was just youtube-ing all his stuff. Windowlicker is hilarious. Rubber Johnny is freakin creepy though.
