not sure if to continue a with the old one started from over a year ago or a new one about just the movie now, mods merge/lock as you feel. So i went to the premiere last night in westwood and its was pretty awesome and probably one of the largest premieres that I have seen taken place in los angeles/westwood. They had a large bumblebee in robot form on the street and then had the cars from the movie, barracade, optimus, ironhide, ratchet, jazz and of course bumblebee further down the street. as for the movie itself I wasnt expecting much at all, as a kid raised on the tv show and the comics in the late eighties/early 90s after seeing the first few prototype it was clear it wasn't going to be the type of transformers that i would hope for, but i was entertained quite a bit. Without giving away too much, there was one scene that made me say "c'mon now they're freaking huge robots, wouldn't someone see them?" but it was one of the more comical points in the movie. Seeing them transform back and forth was pretty freakin sweet. It was a michael bay film so that means no oscar winning performaces, same sort of musical score (but i do like these scores just a bit overplayed), some corny "just for a cheap laugh" dialogue and the 360 degree shot. Overall I would say I was pleased with the movie, a lot better than what I had expected from the film, but still short from what I had hoped. I would recommend to go see it, i'll probably go again next week unless I can get into one of the 4-5 screenings they have out here before the "official release" My friend took pics with his camera I'll be posting them later today of the cars and all. Oh yeah the highlight of the night was being able to meet Peter Cullen, the guy was very humble and an extremely nice man. Glad Bay listened to the internet fans and brought him back after originally casting the voice to someone else.
Damn...Burger King is lookin' good! (and to top that off, for all you t-sips, he's got the Hook Em Horns going on! )
im so jealous props on snapping a pose with peter cullen. i almost dont know who id rather take a picture with, him or megan fox.
he was awesome man most of the other people who've i've talked to just say want the pic to be taken and then move on, but he spent a good five minutes talking about how much fun it was and how he shocked at the support he has received. a true gentleman
I dont know who the hell megan fox is, but i saw her on tv about an hour ago, and that hunny looks good. she might make her way up the top ten.
Megan Fox is smoking in this movie. I saw it tonight and thought is was very entertaining. 1st hour of the movie is a 10. Second half an 8. Jazz is a brother robot. Megatron has teeth. Good show.
Yeah, Megan Fox is f'en hot. Do any of you guys know if there's going to be a sequel, and if there is, what are the chances that they'll actually have the transformers are the primary characters and not the secondary?
I saw it tonight and thought it was fantastic. Megan Fox was super hot. I will agree that the second half of the movie dragged a bit and I thought they focused on the humans too much. The movie also had a good amount of comedy which I didn't expect. Overall it is a must see!
not sure if there will be but they did add in something during the credits which would leave the door open for one.
"Alert! Alert! Autobots escaping!" This is gonna rock! btw-That's from old school stuff ^ (The Ultimate Doom, Part 3) old school Optimus vs. Megatron "One Shall Stand"
100% on rotten tomatoes so far...6 reviews. basically, every single one is saying there's not much of a story, but lots of robot on robot action. do you guys think it'll be packed on Tuesday?
geez thanks yeah i was pretty tired from the days events, going to work, lounging around westwood, waiting in line, standing in the bleachers in the sun, but it was worth it.
