Directed by Ben Affleck and starring him too. Reviews are starting to come in and they are comparing it to Heat. http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/the_town/

Looking forward to it Heat is the best movie nobody paid attention to, that movie was 3 hours, yet I have no problem seeing it multiple times...
Affleck did Good Will Hunting, so you can forgive him for pretty much everything he did after that.Get That Through Your Head!!!! I'm watching you Affleck...You're suspect! Alright enough. But lately he has been getting back to good form. Directing Gone Baby Gone, which was pretty good, perhaps a lesser version of Mystic River. And I think this looks pretty interesting, I like movies that showcase the culture of a city. Bad or good. Ebert gave is 3 stars, so it'll probably be good...but not great.
Affleck knows how to capture that city of Boston and make it look so gritty... I got family in Boston, Reps to my peepz down in Brookline, Mass!!!!
You're suspect! Yeah, you! I don't know what your reputation is in this town, but after the s#$t you tried to pull today you can bet I'll be looking into you. Now the business we have, heretofore, you can speak with my aforementioned attorney. Good day, gentlemen; and until that day comes, keep your ear to the grindstone.
I was in Boston when they were filming the movie. Got a few pics of Affleck directing the bank scene.
My girlfriend and I have started shouting "GET THAT IN YOUR HEAD!!" after every sentence due to this film's trailer. Definitely going to see it.
don't forget Dazed and Confused Ben Affleck. Like Mcconaughey, Affleck played his role to perfection. I thinkt his trailer looks good, but I like most of these gritty Boston movies. Still likely won't see till comes out on DVD or later, as I have no time for movies.
I wouldn't mind seeing this, but all these boston movies seem the same...i'll be seeing machete this weekend...
saw the midnight showing after I couldn't get in to a free Devil showing, and there was no way in hell i'd be paying for Devil Solid movie, good comparison of Departed/Heat. A lot more laughs that I was anticipating, actual humor, not something pathetic to laugh at Blake Lively had a small role, but was solid as a messed up chick Jeremy Renner's role stood out the most for me, fantastic performance people may not like Affleck as an actor, but he is one hell of a director
