My dad saw it at midnight last night, and I plan on seeing it this weekend, but he said it was about a 8/10, which is very solid considering the lack of good horror movies lately. He said that there was some seriously good scares and the imagery in the film was top notch. Really provided a lot of scares that were effective, not just the typical jump scares and whatnot. His only qualm with the film was that the plot got a little convoluted, and the characters reactions to these scares were incredibly unrealistic at times. Basically, he just said that it was an incredibly dumb movie at times, but it still had a lot of quality scares that helped the film.
6.5/10 Decent horror flick with a rushed ending. Disregard the hype though; this is no Alien or Shining. Also I recommend not watching the trailer as it reveals too much. I mistakenly saw this on a peak night at Edwards Greenway which ruined the experience. When did the ghetto/urban crowd start attending this place? Too many people shouting things like "**** n!gga don't be doing that... the b*tch is right behind yo a$$" and worse. I'll drive out to Studio Movie Grill next time. Btw the antagonist looked like a hybrid between the Saw face and the Crow.
