Lego Movie mentioned before kinda fits. It was aimed at the little (tom)boy who are playing with it or have played it. This one is aimed at the little girl among barbie buyers. Might not be your cup of pretend tea, but I wouldn't take the complaints too seriously. I don't think the movie was trying to be divisive but it doesn't shy away from what its audience thinks..

I finally saw it on a long flight and liked it. Not sure if it’s best picture but definitely entertaining.
I liked it, I didn't have any expectations going in, I actually thought it would be dumb but ended up rooting for Ken LOL
I am curious now, it is definitely not boring, some good and some negative reviews, at least not average.....controversial. Gerwig must be an actress/director genius. I will watch other movies before I watch that.
I try to avoid Disney products, but sometimes it’s impossible. My wife and grandkids went to it and loved it. Disney was such a great company in the past. I’m not a Maga nut, but they went way over board on their woke s**t.
7% of Americans are LGBT. If Disney casted 7% of their characters as LGBT, would that be OK with you? I can tell who would not be OK with that, Fox News et al ... who would do their very best to canceled everyone involved ... and who would make it seem like only 7% of characters were straight white males. BTW we have been here before and survived (at least the non-SCWs among us). Back in the 70s, recall that quite a few of TV shows had that one token black to go along with the rest of the show's white characters.
Same. It did take me a couple tries to get acclimated to the extreme girliness of the intro. Once I was in, it hooked me. Good story and acting.
