Hey guys, I'm looking to buy a Mountain Bike. I would like you input as to wether or not I should get a hard tail or soft tail. I live in Los Angeles and I plan on doing a lot of the trails out here. I was checking out some Specialized bikes as well as the REI house brands. Any input into the matter would be cool.
    Thanks!

If you are going to do downhill or really rough terrain, then a soft tail would be beneficial. If you are only going to do basic trail riding, then a hard tail is better because it is more efficient at transferring power to the wheels. I prefer hard tails.
