...basically, it's orange flavored Mountain Dew, and it's supposedly only available for Summer 2003. It was good. Not as good as Code Red, but still a good drink. it has kind of a "bitter" taste to it. The taste isn't like a typical orange soda like Crush or Minute Maid. It tasted better this morning after it had a night in the fridge... I give it a solid "B"...still a helluva lot better than Pepsi Blue...
yeah, i saw that stuff at the store. too afraid to try it. maybe ill give it a try now. BTW, remember crystal clear pepsi??
I liked Crystal Pepsi...The reason it didn't work was because there wasn't a taste difference. People were like, "why the hell do I need to buy this clear crap when it tastes the same as the black crap?", so they stuck with their black crap... Pepsi definitely has cornered the market on innovative sodas, though...
I think Livewire tastes a bit like orange All Sport, if anyone remembers that drink. You don't see it anywhere in Texas anymore, but it was always my favorite sports drink. Kind of has a sharp taste to it.
I think they should have called it: Mountain Dew Agent Orange Their pitch slogan would be: "If the chemicals in it don't kill you, then the high sugar content will."
Its ok, its got a little kick in it that I like. Not as good as Code Red. Sprite's Tropical Remix stuff is better in my opinion.
Crystal Pepsi tasted like regular pepsi? Are you sure? I mean Pepsi isn't that great, but It seems like I remember Crystal Pepsi tasting like major shiz-nit... LiveWire is pretty good, but it tastes too much like a regular orange soda to me. In Code Red, you can definitely tell that it is mountain dew, but you can't really taste the Mountain Dew in LiveWire to me (at least).
Crystal Pepsi was just Pepsi with the caramel color taken out...I seem to remember it having a slightly "flatter" taste...
Actually you can still get Allsport.......come up around Lufkin we definitely still have it here. Pepsico owns Quaker, Tropicana, Aquafina, Sobe, Dole Juices, they have partnerships with Lipton RTD teas, and Starbucks. I work at PBG and although Pepsico owns Quaker we can't officially distribute single serve at convience stores or large format stores as of yet, although we can sell it at Golf Courses and sport arenas and Fullservice machines because of an agreement when we sold AllSport off to Monarch Beverages. Pepsico had to have that agreement because the government thought we would have to much of the market since Gatorade has a bout a 90 share of the market and Pepsi could leverage that to their favor to grow CSD also. I believe you guys are right about the Livewire, its not bad but its not as good as Code red is..... Mt Dew AMP is good(Energy Drink) Vanilla Pepsi is coming soon! Sobe is tight! Try the new NO FEAR!! A double dose of Adreneline Rush and taurine!!!
I agree with Moe, I tried it yesterday, tast too much like an orange soda drink. I like the Sprite Tropical Remix ALOT better. I heard that they are already selling them in 2 liters already.
Yep! My wife had a two liter waiting for me when I got home yesterday! I knew there was a reason I married her...
Live Wire is not bad, nothing compares to Code Red though. I've been drinking that like I am an addict lately. Target had Pepsi/Mountain Dew products 5 for $10 last weekend. 3 Code Reds, One Pepsi and One Diet Pepsi. Tropical Sprite stinks...
After all that crap you call pop that you have been drinking, anything with a real flavor will stink.
