Had to pick the Jazz. I can stand most of the rest of those teams, but not the Jazz. As a Rocket fan you are born with Jazz-hating genes, so there's nothing you can do about that.
I bet the popular choice here is the Jazz But, I've gotta echo COMPAQ's top two here - LA followed by the Knicks. Of course, I hate the Lakers because they are overplayed, overhyped, and because they took Shaq from Orlando. I respect Shaq, sure, but that doesn't mean I can't hate them. I hate the Knicks in large part due to their fans. They are just everywhere - including filling opposing team's arenas. Nothing worse than going to a Knicks game and hearing all of them continually chanting like it's MSG or something. Can't blame them for supporting their team, but it gets annoying rather quickly. After those two, I'd guess (for me) it's a big drop off to the Bulls, just because I dislike Krause. But the ContractaBulls aren't that good anyway, so they don't count nearly as much.

after winning three championships in a row, how exactly are the Lakers "overhyped"???? by the way, my answer is of course the Utah Jazz! Yuck!
Actually, I voted for my all time most hated team the Utah Jazz. I used to hate the Sonics so much when they used to beat us in the playoffs, when they used to have Dale Ellis, Tom Chambers, Nate McMillan and Xaviar McDaniel. I used to hate the Mavericks for the same reason, when they used to have Marke Aguirre, Adrian Dantly, Roy Tarply and Sam Perkins. I think hating teams have to do alot with if there is rivalry with them. Do you think, after Stockton & Malone retire, we would still hate the Jazz. Do you think it is something associated with the city, the crowd or more of the players.
All this dynasty, best team in history, crap that usually comes after a 3 peat. I mean, the Lakers are good and all, but give me a break.
I thought the Jazz are hated throughout the league, or at least the majority of the Western Conference... I wonder about that too. I hate their crowd, and that damn Delta Center. But I think it's mostly Jerry Sloan's system of using picks, and their players taking the initiative to make it hurt, to put it lightly... Even if John and Karl leave, if Sloan stays I'll probably still despise them for many years to come...
Wow, i'm the first to vote for the knicks? I guess they SUCK too much for most people to even care now.... Anyway, i think the Knicks are #1 for me, followed by the spurs, then the jazz.
you can thank espn and the media world for feeding them more stuff. sorry to say but they aren't arrogant sobs the way i look at it. you can say the media makes them think they're the greatest, the league/refs helped them out, but all they do is go out there and play. ain't their fault that the other team couldn't hit free throws when it counted
Hate is a very strong word.I don't want anybody to think I want the Utah Jazz players to get hurt, but I NEVER want them to be successful.
The current Fakers franchise is a David Stern marketing contrivance that should not be labelled a "team." They were bailed out of two lost series (Conference Finals vs. Blazers, 2000 and Conference Finals vs. Kings, 2002) by Dick Bavetta officiating. Is one title, with the two "best" players in the league together now for six seasons, all that impressive? Since championships are fixed, I guess calling Shaq the most dominant player in the NBA is analogous to saying that Triple-H is the best wrestler in the WWF. They are also about as entertaining as passing gallstones, unlike the real Laker dynasty of the 1980's, one of the best and highest-scoring teams of the decade (which featured much better offenses than today). Hands down, they are hands-down the most maligned (by serious basketball fans, not bandwagoning ex-Bull fans) NBA team. If they continue to "win", they will surpass the Yankees as the most hated franchise in professional sports.
There are only nine options, so I had to cut some teams. I can not believe no one have voted for the Sonics or the Bulls. May be because they are pathetic now.
