I just thought we might want to discuss who the most famous (or infamous) person alive is. I've heard Ali, Michael Jackson, and Paul Mcartney thrown in the mix...just wondering what you guys think.

    Bush?
    Madonna?
    Oprah?

    Probably Bush....

David Beckham might merit some consideration, as well.

I would say Bush, but he is more -in-famous than famous most places.

    Oprah and McCartney tie.

an entire generation has grown since Ali and MCartney were in the top 10 of this list.

    Bush (infamous and famous)
    Bin Laden
    Hussein

Clinton has an international cachet, I think, but for now maybe Bush. But that is almost a DQ, because President of The United States is popular because of the office more than the person. I mean, Gerald Ford was once the famous person alive.

Do people in China care about Ali? I wonder. Paul McCartney is not a bad choice. For a "most famous person alive," Paul sure has sluggish album sales.

Anyone care to argue Nelson Mandela?

Yao Ming. There's more than a Billion in China and not all of them know Bush. Jordan just plain has gone into oblivion, plus he's a quitter who cheats on his wife. I'd say YAO, with A-train a close second, except when he bashes my Texans (yes, freaker, I don't know how sorry my Texans are...... stop the Texans' bashing! :p )
