I submit that this is the greatest, most entertaining offseason in sports history.

The Lakers - We've already had a full soap opera from just the lakers, from the Coach K flirtation, our own Rudy T ending up there, the whole "Where will Kobe go?" saga, and the most dominant player of the last 5 years demanding a trade and possibly getting it.

Superstars demanding trades - We of course got to be right in the middle of this one with the Tmac deal, but we've got Shaq demanding a trade, and Vince Carter possibly demanding a trade. On top of that, numerous other huge names (like ray allen and iverson) have been bandied about in trade discussions.

Betrayal - We've got Carlos Boozer pulling one of the all time low moves with his backstabbing of the potentially lowballing cavaliers.

Comic Relief - And then to top it off, we get to watch stupid GM's with tons of money make some of the most hilarious contract offers of all time. rafer for 29 million, hedo for 39, adonal friggin foyle for 41 MILLION DOLLARS. you couldn't make these up.

and we've still got plenty left to do and we get to be in the middle of it with out TE and MLE still left.

after a season full of bickering in the GARM, the offseason has actually been more exciting than the regular season.

anyone else enjoying all this offseason talk and all these rumors as much as me?

I don't think it was backstabbing at all. Boozer realized that the nba is a business and so he signed for more money. It's much like a team trading one of their best players for underachieving even though they told the player he was their "franchise". You can't fault either because in the end you have to do whats best for your team or if you're a player, yourself.

It is, the fact we got McGrady is huge though. If we had all of this kind of movement and the Rockets hadn't done anything up to now I think I would have pulled out all my hair.

As they say, if your team isnt moving forward with player personnel moves, it's moving backward! No one is sitting on their hands these days. It's the quick and the dead!

i disagree. from what i understand, boozer gave the cavs his word that he would resign with them. he backed out on his word, screwing over an organization and his friends there. it may be a buisness, but he is scum as far as i am concerned.

I don't think you have the whole story. The Cavs had the rights to Boozer at $600,000 next season. Boozer's agent convinced the Cavs to let him out that that $600,000 contract if they would sign him to a long term deal. The Cavs Agreed. Then, Boozer's agent had Boozer sign with the Jazz. This is sliminess at it most extreme.
