We tell everybody we are picking Ming. We tell how cumbersome negotiating with Ming's seven signature posse is. We secretly work a trade with Golden State that includes swaping first round picks. On draft day, just at the deadline, David Stern announces the trade. Golden State picks Jay Williams. Krause, who has his mouth set for a shooting point guard, fears taking over the cumbersome Ming negotiations at this late date and opts for Wagner. We step in at three and pick Ming. TaDah!
I would LMAO@Krause I would love to see his face at that juncture. BTW, I think he'd take Mike Dunleavy. Saleem, the Warriors would have J. Williams so the Bulls can't take him. That's why its called bizarre scenario.
I don't think it works that way. The Rockets have the first pick and designate who they want to have the draft rights too. If they pick the rights to Jay Williams, then Krause will pick Ming. I'm sure he and his management team already have a contingency plan in place for that possibility and have made contacts with other teams for trades in case they do not want Ming. The Warriors then pick Dunleavy and before the 4th pick, Stern says "we have a trade". I'm not sure how any of this is supposed to suprise Krause.
did u guys read the extended mock draft on nbadraft.net? they said we should write J Wills name in Chinese on the draft card so stern think were pickin ming. then in a couple of years if J Will turns out to be the better player we claim we wrote his name on the draft card so he should be ours.
That's why he has Fizer now, remember guys? He's not averse to breaking up someone's plans just in spite.
