I. Thomas... as I mentioned before, you're underestimating the fact that the Rockets and Suns are competitive with each other in the West. If there is a close comparative offer with a team in the opposing conference, who do you think they are going to pick to deal with?

Also Thomas is a defensive liability, and will almost always be a 6th man coming off the bench. If the whole purpose of acquiring a 2nd ball-handler is to take pressure off of Harden, I refuse to see how Thomas helps. He takes shots away from others.... he doesn't create easier shots from others.

Thomas is a talented scorer, and I would have loved to have him, but you guy underestimate how small (albeit important) his role would have been.

and then you bring up McGee...

seriously... have you not watched any basketball in 2 years? Have you seen McGee run up and down the court this year? The guy would be a longshot to even get in the rotation in the physical shape he's in. Then you add in the fact that he is demanding a 2nd year on his deal and his off the court issues, and its a no brainer to be very cautious about signing McGee.

Also, you have to cut someone in order to sign him. You want to cut Johnson, and be even lighter at guard spot? You want to push all your chips on the table for "barely get up and down the court" McGee and cut a solid rebounder/defender in Dorsey? You want to give up any idea of free agency this Summer by cutting guaranteed $ in Dorsey, and giving guaranteed $ next year in McGee?

You guys really don't look at the big picture at all.
