I found out late and only caught the tail end, but did I hear Morey say he hasn't focused on the refs at all because there's been so much to focus on with regard to their play? I couldn't tell if he was joking.
He didn't sound to happy about the play lately. I think he must have made a comment about things need to change b/c they asked him what specifically needs to change in the 1st and 3rd qtrs. He really didn't answer the question.
I was running around getting ready for work, but it definitely sounded like he was playing down the officiating...I immediately thought of what moes and gwatson commented on from yesterday's game. He also implied that he doesn't have confidence that we will make the playoffs with the way we are playing right now, and it would be up to him to make a personnel change to make that happen. Said any deals will almost assuredly come down to the deadline.
The interview with Stephen A was much more informative. We can all await McGradys "what really went on behind the scenes" interview once he's traded according to him. McGrady has things that he will reveal. Funny how this has happened with 3 teams with him.
ironically, tmac railroaded the rockets. by being selfish, telling rick "let me play the way i want or trade me". blackmailing the coach and gm, taking 23,000,000 of our cap and fake injuries last year with artest to see who could take more time off. let him say what he wants, i feel sorry for the team he goes to because they will get under the "spell" so to speak that we all did. He will mystify you will dunks and passes ,get you into playoffs, but you will never get past first round and never sign anyone else because tmac will take all your capspace. Tmac wants to get paid on what he did 10 years ago. He doesnt understand cbud is better. He doesnt understand taylor might be better. He deserves league minimum contract since he cant hold up for more than 20 games in a row healthy and with bad shooting %'s to boot.
No team is going to pay him anywhere near the max, unless it is a crappy team that is just desperate to sell some tickets.
How many tickets can signing T-Mac to a maximum contract would help that desperate team sell? I would say no such a crappy team would like to roll the dice. That "unless" part won't even happen, to say the least he's gonna earn around MLE or above but definitely under 10 mil per season.
so what was said with stupid a smith? mcgrady is going to have another "tell all" interview with him after the trade deadline? tmac isnt very smart either does he not know stupid a smith isnt on espn anymore?
did he discuss pouring soft-drinks on toddlers, manhandling his underlings, sexually harrassing "the talent", choking out his own son, & murdering bums etc.? This dude is bad, for an executive. I thought it was a joke, how much all you guys loive him, but I kind of get it now. He makes good deals, & he doesn't take crap from anyone.
Probably just a warning. Tmac might want the rockets trade him before the deadline or buyout him after it. He doesn't want the rockets hold him but don't play, trade, or buyout him. This is bad ending for both the rockets organization and Tmac. In fact, if Adelman and the rockets organization could play Tmac a little more or said something good about him (I think Adelman shouldn't say Tmac's done in public), it would increase Tmac's trade value, and would be good for both.
