Morey from this morning (2-11-10) Obviously can't say much about trades, I thinks that’s why he really didn't take any calls. Maybe some hints depending on how you take his response or just staing the obvious. Jaun Battier LOL!!! http://www.sportsradio610.com/episo...g=Box_3383561_Outer_Div;Box_3383561_Inner_Div Bullard from yesterdays Rockets Power Hr. (2-10-10) Great interview on Bullard. He really let out on Pippen. http://www.sportsradio610.com/episo...Box_55515791_Outer_Div;Box_55515791_Inner_Div
nice... Morey said that the teams that he is talking to are correct, but the details are wrong. Good start.
Could it be: Houston - Caron Butler, Randy Foye, Andre Blatche New York - Tracy McGrady, filler Washington - Larry Hughes, Al Harrington, filler/pick *shrug* Maybe...
Interesting. Does this mean that there are in fact "details" worked out?? (i.e. there is a trade in place?)
i think it just means it's not finalized...could mean they're working out the fillers, or waiting on a response...i think most rumored details are close, but morey wouldnt say they are anyway..
The way he said build around Brooks and Lowry made it sound like they probably weren't going to be traded.
Gosh, where's my decoder ring when I need it? BTW - if Butler and Hayward or Blatche then: Ariza or Battier (or Bud) = redundant Hayes or Andersen = redundant Hmm - (supposedly) DM the GM has the hots for K-Mart and (supposedly) Kings have the hots for Scola and (supposedly) everyone has the hots for Battier ... hmm, where might this be going?
DM: "the fans are obviously interested. We love that they are interested." Could he be talking about Clutchfans?
Watching ESPN and they said they were going to talk about a 3 team trade. does anyone know if it involves the Rockets? They haven't said anything yet.
JI: Daryl, Good Morning, what's happening DM: Is that like Bill Worrell calling Shane Juan Battier? JL: I'm gonna call HR on my partner DM: Are you uncomfortable John? JL: No I can take it, I just wanna get him in trouble. ... JL: We can't mention any names, how can we approach this that everyone is talking about? Are you close to a deal? DM: Not close to a deal. Earliest is next week. Nature is they go down to last few days, hours, minutes. We are talking to teams reported. If we can work something out that helps Rockets closer to championship, we'll do it. Teams are right but details are not. JI: Are there any other potential teams or deals? DM: Yeah, at this point, league meetings on Friday, you're really talking to every team. Things come out but its part of a whole lotta chatter. Love the fans are interested but hard to be a fan right now because the rumors - you never know what's true even when the trades happen, you never have it really sorted out until the league finalizes the calls, etc. Draft and trade deadline are tough times to be a fan because you dont know what's happening. JL: Expect this to be busiest All-Star weekend in awhile? Teams are posturing to get rosters right for 2010 FA. DM: Yeah there's that and the economy. We've been well supported by Houston with crowds and good team relative to our situation. Some teams/cities are hurting. Bubble playoff teams can go either way. Push their way in or set something up for future. JL: What do you consider your team? DM: We're a bubble playoff team. We have to consider everything and priorities are 1. set up to be a contender 2. bring some help this year JI: You're obviously working on trades for this year and later down the road. We've had people ask if you make a move now, how does it affect FA? DM: For every team, you have to consider now and the offseason and later down the road. Also to consider the CBA issues. All those things factors. JI: If a deal does get done, are the Rockets still players in FA? DM: Yeah, we have to be. Every offseason you have to be. We need to be careful we... We're happy to make a move now that would take us out of being a significant player there but need to be sure it's better than what can happen then. JL: DM joining us. Give us a gage or odds of team looking a lot different Feb 18. DM: We tend to do moves. Depends on what you mean by a lot. Even if there isn't something big, there are minor moves to upgrade team this year or later in a minor way. Takes 2 to tango so hard to predict. JI: 27-24, thought where you'd be or exceeded expectations? DM: Feel like we're we'd hope to be, on a playoff path. Like to be a little bit better. Ended on a sour note. Makes me feel better Dallas lost by 36. For some reason though, our loss seemed worse because 99-66 compared to 127 to 92 or something like that. New system, new players, tough schedule, we're on track I think. We've exceeded others expectations but not our own. We wanted to be about here. JL: Bubble team, trade or no trade, goal is playoffs, where do you need to make a move offensively or defensively? DM: Team needs a little defense at big spot, need size. Offensively, scoring at the wing. 2 big priorities to this season and frankly getting Yao Ming will help defense at big spot. JI: Happy with Aaron Brooks? Scoring is great, Assists are subpar compared to other PGs DM: We like our tandem of Kyle and Aaron. We can build around them. RA's offense doesn't create many ast opportunities as others. Like how when Kyle is in there, Aaron plays off the ball - combo guard. When he is playing the 1, want him to set up teammates and playing off the ball, not focus on setting people up. Ast will always be a little lower than Paul or others in different structures. JL: We'll find out soon here. Good gage out the break. DM: Great game against Utah. Probably looking for revenge. May have been best team over past month. Doesnt get easier, team will be focused and will be great game. Guys night out - power dancers always got something prepared. JI: Can you hook me up with one of them Daryl? DM: Josh doesnt want to bring in radio long. Uncomfortable work enviroment and hitting on the power dancers. JL: Reason for a HR department. ... END
