for those of you who don't remember me, i'm the guy who was able to get some juicy info about Rudy T's stepping down (yeah, right) a while back before it even happened. and for anyone who was wondering whatever happened to "Ball Boy" (my source of info), rest assured that he is still alive and well and is still able to provide me with info that goes down on the inside, whenever it happens.

first off (as mentioned by another person at the very end of the locked MoT thread): Mo Taylor's so-called drug abuse was simply an overdose of some pain killers like Vicadin (sp) or something. i'm not sure, but it was most likely for his shoulder. although he wasn't caught with mar1juana in his blood, this wasn't an accidental overdose either. and from what i hear, Taylor and some others are heavily trying to appeal his suspension.

second: if some of you have been wondering where Turbo has been recently, it's because he hasn't done anything this season. and he probably won't be. from what i hear, Turbo is retiring (hey, he's just getting old) and someone new will most likely come in. whether this new person is another Turbo or a new mascot, i'm not exactly sure.

on a last note, i should tell you that i'm not trying to grab attention or even proclaiming my words as the truth. you probably should take all of this with a grain of salt. but hopefully, since i tried my very best last time trying to prove my story, i won't be bashed too heavily either.

I appreciate the info Eric Riley!

Why is the word "accidental" italicized? Does that mean Mo Taylor is overdosing on purpose?

He could always go for the Rush Limbaugh defense.

cant go wrong with a little vicodin.

wouldn't call it an "overdose" though. probably just took a few extra.... can't blame him :D

    Thanks, Eric Riley.
So do you know if he had a script for those? If the problem was that he took more than what was prescribed, then this suspension is ludicrous. Who's to say he didn't lose track of his meds or just hurt like hell? If he didn't have a script, then that would be another story... although he would likely have had a script at one time or another considering his injuries.

Well, we'll see what comes of it. I won't shoot the messenger, but we'll see if the mail was reliable. ;)

    Thanks again.

And if overdose of painkiller was the cause, then why didn't the Rox organisation came out telling us fans about that? That'd clear up all the confusion we had here in CC and stop the misunderstanding we had with MoT. They couldn't talk about it?

Well my understanding is that he knowingly and purposely took a few extra pills. Yeah, so he took more than was prescribed (I'm almost pretty sure that he did have a script for them). Other than that, if I find out any other info I'll keep everyone posted.

If that's the case, then for the life of me I can't understand what the problem is. Big hairy ****ing deal. (pardon my French) I've had back surgery and I'm familiar with pain. Mo has my sympathy if this is all there is to the story.

You're exactly right. All that talk about taking of yourself without government help and self-accountibility is nothing but hate.

    Gimme a break...

    it's Vicodin, not Vicadin.

oh, and if the pain were bad enough, i could understand taking over the amount. my guess is that the league has a certain level or % that narcotics cannot exceed in a UA. my speculation is that they are attempting to keep the players from being addicted to drugs of this type (vicodin is extremely addictive). motay must have exceeded that level.

stupid rule, if you ask me. 1 per day or 8 per day, vicodin's still addictive. if that's the L's modus operandi, why not put levels on the amount of alcohol players can consume, as well???

btw, thanks for the info, Eric Riley. it is very much appreciated. question for you: is all well in the lockerroom? any new EG news? and, lastly, is it becoming apparent that any player(s) is not a JVG type of player?

    thanks...

Wow, you guys should check out the the responses I got for sharing this same info! They are in a locked thread now.....

(Right, Batman Jones? - where is that bum LeGrouper now! Crow is served)

Just as a backup, I heard the same thing as Eric.

Also, Eddie is still being trained, even though he currently resides in a "mental" hospital. Interesting, eh?

huh? what do you mean? are you saying he's still staying in physical shape while in the hospital? if so, that's very smart.

As I understand the NBA is not allowing the Rockets to talk about it. So they would probably love to tell us that its not about pot. However they can't its against the rules. So thats why there is all this speculation. To me it was pretty obvious that this was not pot. He takes pain killers and poof gets a hot UA... to me it was pretty clear this was way over blown. Try not to let the ccnet posters effect your good judgement.
