Now let's take this dreamcasting a step further. Let's assume that we trade for SAR, without giving up the Dream, say for Cato, Walt and a future number 1(which is almost impossible since SAR and Cato are both BYC players, but hey we're dreamcasting!). In the offseason we sign C-Webb with cap room available from the Dream(and since this is dream world Dream resigns with the team for the veteran minimum, and we resign Shandon). We then defer the future draft pick given to Vancouver to the 2002 Draft, which would most likely leave us with a pick in the range of 10-20. Milwaukee then gives us their draft pick from the Collier trade and we trade our pick and Milwaukee's for a top 5. In the draft we select a defense minded, rebounding, shot blocking center like Loren Woods. The only down-side to these moves would be the loss of first round picks for the next 2-3 years. But our lineup for the 2001-2002 season would look like this PG-Steve/Moochie SG-Cat/Shandon SF-SAR/Shandon/Langhi PF-C-Webb/KT C-Dream/Woods/Collier Wouldn't it be great if we actually lived in Dreamland? We would be the longest lastint NBA dynasty in history. ------------------
The only problem with that is that I don't think that anyone would take two mid-round first picks for a top 5 pick. But the other stuff sounds good to me! Too bad we're in a dreamworld. ------------------ visit www.swirve.com, coming January 20th, the top 10 films of 2000! http://www.geocities.com/clutch34_2000 for great Rocket insight by some of your fellow BBS posters!
