Another PG contract Les has to eat up? Do the Bulls need another PG?

Their 2nd round picks offer us 20 to 30 topics on the BBS during the summer...

This is exactlly what I pointed out in my post in the, "Bash me if you will, but I bring the truth, thread.

This is the small ball line up we all hate.

I really don't understand how we can let go of Moochie(speaking of his contract) not his steller play

Backup PG should not be a real high priority. At most our backup PG is going to get 8 minutes a game because you know that Francis is going to be putting in at least 40 minutes per night.

All the rocks need is a backup PG that can hit the open jumper, and to not get stupid turnovers trying to do too much because he thinks he is better than he really is. Any CBA Matt Maloney clone can do this. Moochie clearly can not.

I haven't seen Mooch play enough to really pass judgement on him, but, if he is in fact as poor of a player as people are suggesting, then it is a priority.

What if Steve went down with an injury again? I dread that happening. What would we do? Scramble to throw a trade together? Pluck some unknown guy out of the CBA or Belgium? Without Steve playing we could be as ragged as the Lakers without Shaq, thus lottery bound yet again.

I think this may be the Rockets most vulnerable area right now. I guess we could re-sign Tierre if the worst happened. Has anyone picked him up yet?

I hope Rudy T finally realizes how crappy Moochie plays. He might be one of the fan favorites or whatever, but he sucks IMO.

The 3 guard lineup has got to go, it didn't work last year and it's not going to work this year.

Jon Barry would be a great addition to the Rox. How about getting Jamal Crawford from Bulls. Just an idea.

Moochie used to be quite a sparkplug off the bench.

    Now he's a dribble-out-the-clock/take-a-terrible-shot overpaid backup.

    What happened?

    Big contract?

    He's the black Mark Price.

We are making too much of this to say that Moochie is in the doghouse. That is melodramatizing if anything. We all knew that the 3 guard lineup would be used less, we all knew that the team has endless depth and we would therefore limit Mooch to playing backup to Wink, only. Moochie, with all due respect to HP and Co., has done nothing to be in the doghouse. Yes his shooting is off but it is not that far behind the Hawk who is getting alot of minutes. On the other hand Mooch is leading the team in steals and his assist to turnover is decent, certainly not poor enough to warrant doghouse.

We are also not considering that the plan for the past two weeks were designed to build chemistry and get Ming, MoT, KT and Rice up to where we want them. To facilitate and accelerate that Rudy kept a stable backcourt. Based on the results to date, it seems like it has worked.

We should remember that Moochie impressed many when he came to camp alot lighter.

I wouldn't say that he impressed as much as he just astounded people that he was actually 235 lbs last season. A PG coming into camp at 190 is not all that impressive to me.

You make a good point that Moochie's shooting has not been great, and not that far behind Hawkins, but Hawkins hustles and plays great defense. Moochie has never been known to do that. That is the reason for the playing time difference.

In a year's time we will NOT have COlliers, KT and now likely Moochie.

One thing I've noticed about Moochie more than his dribble-the-ball-into-submission game is the fact that the offense seems to either never kick in or take forever to kick in. I have yet to figure out if this is because he is too scared to pull the trigger on an entry pass, has forgotten the play, or if his teammates suddenly become stupid and are out of position. Whatever the reason, it seems to take forever to even set a play into motion with Moochie at the helm. I've seen sets where people just stand frozen in place while Moochie stares at his defender's feet and dribbles as if he's waiting for something to happen. By this time the clock has run down to about 8-10 seconds and you know a massive jack is coming...
